With the First Fractured Alpha Event in the Bag, Alpha 1 – Test 2 Slated for June

With the first successful Fractured alpha event in the bag, developers are looking ahead to Alpha 1 – Test 2 that is currently scheduled to begin in June. The summer alpha will include a number of bug fixes and quality of life improvements. In the intervening months, devs will be working on several systems including the expansion of the Housing system, updates to the world including the Deadwoods zone and a number of technical improvements.

Rumors Point to a ‘Destiny-Style Suicide Squad Game’

GamesRadar is reporting that a leak of marketing materials out of Warner Bros. have surfaced and seem to point to a new game set in the Batman: Arkham universe. It is rumored to include at least one “timed raid mission”, Gotham as “one of the playable areas”, multiplayers, loot, team-based gameplay, branching storylines and more. Documents point to a 2020 release date.

Albion Online World Size Increasing to Give Newbies a Chance to Claim Their Own Land

The Albion Online team is celebrating the successful free-to-play launch of the game earlier this month and is already planning big things in the near future. The Outland expansion will offer all players, but particularly new players, a chance to grab some land for themselves when it launches with GvG Season 6 currently targeting early May. The new regions are Siluria and West and East Glouvia. Land will be claimable “in two waves on the second Invasion Day of Season 6”.

MapleStory Set to Kick Off 14th Anniversary Fete

Get ready to celebrate MapleStory’s fourteenth anniversary with “major celebration events”. Nexon will be bringing tons of fun to the MapleStory community starting April 24th. Players will be able to take part in a number of events through June 12th, including special scenarios based on past season updates including Chaos, Nova, Ark and others.

Back in 2008, NC Northern California presented their conceptual ideas for City of Heroes 2. The leaked Powerpoint presentation goes over the success of the original City of Heroes that launched in 2004 and made the case for a second game that would capitalized on “popular culture pumped” by recent cinema releases and on the strength of the company’s wholly original IP.
