Aliens & Mechs are Part of the Wild West Online Rebrand ‘New Frontier’

Wild West Online has kept its old timey roots but has added dinosaurs, alien technology and steampunk walking robots as part of its rebranded game “New Frontier”. While many of the original components (survival open world sandbox game centered on building and crafting) remain, “magical storms” have torn open holes in the space – time continuum to bring “creatures from another dimension”. The cover photo for the “new” game includes alien tech and a gigantic mech. We’re flabbergasted too.

The Invasion Begins in EVE Online with Today’s Update

Invasion has officially launched into EVE Online. The latest content expansion brings a new storyline into the game starting with the first chapter of the Triglavian story “plunging New Eden into chaos”. Players will have to “meet the threat head-on” as they battle enemy ships with “escalating consequences” while earning some of the game’s newest rewards.

Torchlight Frontiers: The Adept’s Path is the Right One

The most recent patch to the Torchlight Frontiers Alpha fixes what could likely be the biggest problem I’ve had with the Action RPG MMO – character progression. While it’s still a work in progress (it is Alpha), the new and more traditional skill trees and levels prove that Torchlight Frontiers doesn’t need to reinvent the wheel to make an impact.

Latest Dev Update Invokes a “New Era for Bungie & Destiny 2′

Now that the breakup with Activision is complete, Bungie is looking ahead to “a new era” for Destiny 2. While there are literally no details about what that might mean, Bungie has promised to provide more details in the future. Right now, the focus is on Season of Opulence and the awarding of Raid belts, but plans are seemingly already in motion.

Marvel Super War Will Let You Take Superhero-Sized Fun on the Road

Ready to tote some Marvel superheroes in your pocket via your mobile device? If so, look no further than NetEase’s upcoming mobile MOBA, Marvel Super War. The game is now in closed beta testing in a number of SEA countries through June 10th. There will be a character reset once the game launches. There’s no mention of a release date for any region at this point, though it’s likely to be revealed after the end of CBT in June.

Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor – Prophecy Expansion Pushed Back to July 30th

Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor – Prophecy, the stand alone expansion to Inquisitor – Martyr was announced in early May for a May 28th release alongside the Patch 2.0 update. In a brief announcement earlier today, however, Neocore Games has revealed that Patch 2.0 will be delayed to June 20th and Inquisitor – Prophecy will be delayed until July 30th.
