BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle’s Version 1.5 patch is now available bringing new characters, balancing, and datamining info

It’s time to begin Accelerating Fates!

Last Tuesday the long wait ended for patient players of BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, as the game’s Version 1.5 update was finally released for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. This implemented the balance changes found in the recently-released Arcade version, along with DLC Character Pack Volume 7, which adds BlazBlue’s Naoto Kurogane, Persona 4 Arena‘s Teddie, Under Night In-Brith’s Seth, and Arcana Heart‘s Heart Aino, marking the fifth franchise to join this crossover tag fighter.

Those who own all of the previous DLC characters through the All-In-One Pack, individual purchases, or the Deluxe Edition, will receive the four new warriors free of charge after installing the patch, which weighs in at 671.7 MB on PS4, or you can purchase the Volume 7 Character Pack for $9.99.

The patch update also introduced a slew of balance and mechanical changes, including faster depletion of and the removal of Cross Combo and DP+Assist Invincibility, Reject Guard, Persona behavior, as well as adjustments for all 40 characters. Arc System Works has recently released the fully translated patch notes, which you can see at this link, along with character introduction trailers and initial breakdowns for Kurogane, Seth, Teddie, and Heart, below.

BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle is available now for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam PC. With the recent data mine, with the announcer speaking 75 additional character voices, there’s no knowing what’s next for the title.
