Black Desert Online has been updated to bring the brand new Shai class on board as well as a trio of new donkeys (“Derome, Cherose, and Vallet”) just for her. Each one offers her a special benefit as she rides it in reverse saddle to show “her whimsical nature”. Shai and her Ass will receive a 50% mount boost when the update officially launches later today.
Human Head Studios has sent out a brand new trailer for Rune II. While he is supposed to die at the end of Ragnarok, Loki who has found a way to change the flow of time and sends the world into an “infinite cycle of chaos”. Every era in the cycle is marked by a new variety of challenges: “perpetual night, giant-filled lands, harsh ice-ridden landscapes and more”.
After over a decade, the wait is finally over, and the time to finally embrace death has arrived, as SNK’s latest edition of Samurai Shodown is now available!
Featuring a launch cast of 16 characters, including series vets Haohmaru, Kyoshiro Senryo, Earthquake, Tam Tam, Hanzo Hatorri, Galford, Yagyu Jubei, Nakoruru, Ukyo Tachibana, Genjuro Kibagami, Shiki, Yoshitora, and Charlotte. Along with newcomers Darli Dagger, Yashamaru Kurama, and Wu-Ruixiang, the title serves as a reboot of the classic footsies-based, bloody, weapon-based 2D combat the series is known for.
On top of your standard Story, Versus, Online, Time Trial, Survival, and Gauntlet modes, the title also features the unique Dojo Mode, which allows players to battle against their own AI Ghosts that will mimic and learn from their patterns and habits, which they can then upload online to share with other players.
Additionally, a Season Pass has been announced, that will see Rimururu, Basara, Kazuki Kazama, and Wan-Fu join the roster between August and February, which can be obtained for free if players pick up the game before June 30th, so if you’re interested, act quickly. You can see the game’s launch trailer below, as well as its opening cinematic, which pays homage to the original title’s intro, below. The title will no doubt have some serious competition at Evo 2019.
Samurai Shodown is available now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with releases for Nintendo Switch, Steam PC and Google Stadia, set to come in the future.

Yesterday marked the first day of the Astellia closed beta #1. We were given access to the game for streaming, review videos, and anything you could want to see as you take the first look into a new title. This beta is running until July 1st and it gives us a good chance to break the system. There are two servers with absolutely everyone they can get into them for this purpose. Here is a breakdown of what we saw along with a video review to give you a little pre-show.
Aurora Studios has announced that Ring of Elysium has officially launched into retail release on Steam. The big day comes along with the new game mode, Ashen Eye. To celebrate release, all players will receive a new weapon skin as well as equipment appearances.
Xbox One players can now get their hands on the Ancient Tomahawk and take part in the Make It Count: Ancient Tomahawk Showdown Mode. Previously, both were only available to PlayStation 4 players. Xboxers can also get hold of other previously PS4 content including the Perlino Andalusian Horse, Belanger Saddle, Finley Jacket, Stenger Studded Spurs, Caldwell Hat and two emotes, “Boast” and “Hey, you”. Finally, Last Stand free-for-all is out for XB1.

Epic’s Tim Sweeney has come out in defense of exclusive titles found on the Epic Games Store. In a long series of Twitter posts, Sweeney stated that he believes that “exclusives are the only strategy that will change the 70/30 status quo at a large enough scale to permanently affect the whole game industry”.
