Everyone has a fighting chance
It appears that the Fallout 76 battle royale mode, Nuclear Winter, is a big hit. So much so, in fact, that there are a lot of new features and improvements coming over the course of the next few patches. The latest Bethesda blog post begins with a look at the Nuclear Winter mission statement: “Create a PvP game mode for Fallout 76 that allows players to jump in and have a fun experience in 20 minutes or less.”
World of Warships Legends has been updated to bring Xbox One and PlayStation 4 captains tons of new content to explore. Players can now try out the German line of ships along with seven German Commanders. In addition, the new Search & Destroy! Campaign has launched that brings new rewards and challenges to console captains. Players will also find the Service Record features, Commendations and modified map spawn configurations added.
With Fortnite Season 10 prepping to begin on August 1st, it appears that a major bot battle may be the opening event. Cattus, aka the Polar Peak Monster, has been seen lurking about in deep water with a piece of Polar Peak on its back lately. What giant robocat would be worth its salt without an appropriately-sized foe? Dataminers have uncovered who they think that might be: Doggus, a new giant robot under construction in the Pressure Plant vault.
The People’s Daily, the “mouthpiece” for the Chinese government, has published a number of proposed rules to regulate game content. The published draft is a collaborative effort between Chinese governmental agencies and several gaming corporations including NetEase, Perfect World and Tencent. Under the proposed rules, gamers would be divided according to age (below 6, 12, 16, 18+), each category with its own subset of ‘guidelines’.
