My Hero Academia: One’s Justice website opens with screenshots and Jump Festa 2018 info

Go Beyond the initial announcement! Plus Ultra cool events at Jump Festa 2018!

The My Hero Academia: One’s Justice website is now available with the first official screenshots and details surrounding the upcoming title. The primary focus of the game puts players in the super suits of the heroes and villains of the popular anime and manga series, My Hero Academia. Players will unleash the full potential of the characters’ special abilities known as “Quirks” thanks to the game’s highly stylized visuals and realistic stage destruction. Stages are filled with walls and buildings to create obstacles for both offensive and defensive strategies.

The screenshots available showcase the main character, Izuku Midoriya and the antagonist, Tomura Shigaraki. Both characters look stunning in One’s Justice’s anime accurate art style. Bandai Namco also announced that Byking, the team behind the Gunslinger Stratos series and Rise of the Incarnates, is developing the title.

The game’s website began as a teaser site displaying only an egg in a microwave. Eagle-eyed fans spotted this visual as an immediate indication that a new My Hero Academia game was in the works. This was a reference to how the main character, Izuku Midoriya visualizes his control over his Quirk, the all-powerful “One For All”. Shortly after the teaser site opened, the popular manga magazine, Shonen Jump, officially unveiled My Hero Academia: One’s Justice.

One’s Justice will be receiving a special booth at Jump Festa 2018, taking place on December 16-17. Posters of the key image seen below will be available at the booth for those who take their picture to celebrate. Bandai Namco will also be hosting a stage event premiering a teaser trailer for the title at 7 pm PST on December 15. Expect special guests to also make an appearance!

Another round of premium costumes flair up the fight in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite

Sometimes the clothes really do make the man, the Mega Man, or should I say, the Proto Man?

Capcom Unity announced twelve new costumes for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, set to release on December 5 alongside the next batch of DLC characters and a huge balance update.

The Cosmic Crusaders pack features costumes for Rocket Raccoon (Rocket Space Suit Costume), Gamora (Gamora Classic Costume, Nova (Nova Prime Costume), X (Special X Costume), Zero (Special Zero Costume), and Strider (Strider Hien Costume).

The Stone Seekers set includes new costumes for Ultron (Ultron Conquest Costume), Thanos (Thanos Annihilation Costume), Spider-Man (Superior Spider-Man Costume), Frank West (Proto Man Costume), Haggar (Metro City Mayor Costume), and Jedah (Makai Messiah Costume).

Each costume pack is priced at $11.99 with the individual costumes available for $3.99. All of these costumes and the eighteen previously released costumes are all included in the Premium Costume Pass for $29.99.

The costumes released so far for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite have been pretty impressive. It is great to see the redesigned X and Zero make their gameplay debut; Jedah’s new costume is particularly classy as well. The release of the Stone Seekers pack ensures the Superior Spider-Man costume is no longer tied to the digital purchase of Spider-Man: Homecoming. Hopefully, this means that one day Xbox and PC owners could eventually obtain the Major Carol Danvers costume for Captain Marvel, which is currently a PlayStation 4 exclusive, but that might take a little more than hope.

If you want to see all the recently announced costumes in action, check out the trailers below!

Justice League gear brings the DCEU design to Injustice 2

Divided we are not enough.

The Justice League from the DC Extended Universe is on its way to Injustice 2 and Injustice 2 Mobile. Players will be able to unlock gear for the legendary super team by earning them through battles.

According to the trailer, the more film-accurate versions of the characters are exclusive to the mobile version of the game, with the console version receiving only the heroes’ gear. This can be expected when the extreme amount of detail within the console version is taken into account. Things like Aquaman’s luxurious locks and actor-accurate face models would be a bit more costly to render than new suits of armor.

This isn’t the first time Injustice 2 featured designs taken from the DCEU. A Wonder Woman event took place to celebrate the release of the film of the same name, granting players Princess Diana’s iconic armor from the film.

The gear looks fantastic — but there is one question that audiences and fighting fans alike have left while we wait for Justice League to release on November 17. Where is Superman?

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 “Hero Colosseum” trailer shows it’ll always be fun to play with toys

Excuse me, “action figures.”

Bandai Namco released a trailer that acts as a brief overview of the upcoming Hero Colosseum game mode for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. The new mode pits players against one another in a contest of champions…made of plastic!

Players assemble teams of their favorite characters in action figure form of varying levels, rarity, and abilities to claim victory over the battlefield. Figures can be upgraded to Limit Breaker forms as well, advancing their power and special skills. After arranging them in a strategic order, the figures fight automatically. Their attacks can be boosted by successful quick time events as well.

Seeing the Hero Colosseum in action really helps explain how the new mode will work. It appears to be a kind of fusion of the arcade game Dragon Ball Heroes and the mobile game, Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle. It will be interesting to see how popular this mode becomes once it releases. Hero Colosseum is set to release soon as a free update to all Xenoverse 2 players.

Bandai Namco also recently announced that the Nintendo Switch version of the game has sold over 400,000 copies since its release on September 22, 2017. The Switch version includes the original Dragon Ball Xenoverse story levels including the “GT Era” missions. This exclusive content allows Switch owners who never played Xenoverse 1 to experience the complete history of the series.

In other Xenoverse 2 news, the next raid is going to be a battle against the dastardly abomination, Fused Zamasu. No word on when the raid will go live, but odds are all of these updates will coincide with the release of the recently announced Extra Pack 1 DLC.

Don’t forget, Extra Pack 1 is set to release sometime this autumn, including Tapion, Android 13, Majin Buu (Gohan Absorbed), Dabura, and other additions. The illusive Extra Pack 2 content will include an original character and a brand new form of Goku, at an undisclosed date. Also, those who own both Xenoverse 2 and Dragon Ball FighterZ will also receive special content. So much Dragon Ball, so little time.

Tapion and Android 13 show off their skills while more content is announced for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

They got the touch, they got the power, yeah!

Bandai Namco released a brief trailer that highlights the upcoming fighters, Tapion and Android 13, and their abilities in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.

Tapion is incredibly agile, with most of his attacks utilizing his iconic sword. The fighter focuses on speed and after imaging to close in the space between him and the opponent. I’m hoping that he has an ability tied to using his ocarina, but we may have to wait until he’s fully released to find that out.

Android 13 has a particularly interesting ability that allows him to automatically dodge an enemy’s attacks. This special move seems like an incredibly useful trait that could really make the character shine. Android 13 also has a powerful energy blast attack that appears to hone in on its target as they try to escape.

Even more planned content and the FighterZ effect

On top of releasing the trailer, Bandai Namco also published a press release outlining the upcoming content for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 along with a collaboration with Dragon Ball FighterZ.

There will be two Extra Packs releasing for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, aptly named Extra Pack 1 and Extra Pack 2. Extra Pack 1 is set to release this autumn and will consist of four new characters: Tapion, Android 13, Majin Buu (Gohan Absorbed) and Dabura. The previously announced Hero Colosseum mode will be included within a free update coming this autumn as well. Extra Pack 2 is bringing an original character to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 along with a brand new form of Goku! The release window for Extra Pack 2 has not been announced. There isn’t much else known about the collaboration with FighterZ, but those who own both titles can expect to unlock special items, as announced by Bandai Namco.

What content will be unlocked for those who also own Dragon Ball FighterZ? Will the brand new form of Goku seen in the recent episodes of Dragon Ball Super be playable? And what is the identity of the original character coming in Extra Pack 2? Find out on the next episode of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2!

The King of Fighters Neowave is among the first original Xbox titles to join backwards-compatibility on Xbox One

The start of a renewed relationship with classic titles on Xbox One.

As of yesterday, owners of the original Xbox title The King of Fighters Neowave are able to take the fight to Xbox One — thanks to Xbox’s efforts in backwards-compatibility. Those who don’t own the game already can also purchase the title from the Xbox Marketplace.

The King of Fighters Neowave was first released in 2004 in arcades, and on Xbox in 2006. The game features characters from throughout the series’ history, as opposed to the traditional titles only including characters that were within the games’ story. KOF Neowave introduced a new mechanic known as Heat Mode, that increased the strength of characters at the sake of draining health. Battles focused on three character elimination matches, so learning multiple fighters was key to victory. Those looking for a classic fighting experience on Xbox should definitely give KOF Neowave a look!

Xbox Original BC October 24 2017

Those playing on their Xbox One or Xbox One S console will be greeted with improved visual fidelity, with 4X the pixel count found on the original Xbox. When Xbox One X releases on November 7 this year, all backwards-compatible Xbox titles will be playable with 16X the pixel count, thanks to its additional power.

The backwards-compatibility initiative is Xbox’s way of ensuring that their customer’s titles are playable now and in the future. According to Xbox Wire, the next batch of original Xbox titles will be added in Spring 2018, so let’s keep our fingers crossed that more fighters are added to the next list. Dead or Alive Ultimate and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 would certainly be nice additions from the original Xbox catalog. Are there any original Xbox titles you are hoping will come to Xbox One?

The fiendish Android 13 and the Legendary Hero Tapion join Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 as DLC

And Toppo’s mustache will be wearable in all of its glory!

Dragon Ball FighterZ isn’t the only Dragon Ball title to have new content announced in the most recent issue of V-Jump. The villainous character Android 13 from the film Dragon Ball Z: Super Android 13!, and the heroic Tapion from the film Dragon Ball Z: Wrath of the Dragon are the next DLC characters to join the ever-expanding roster of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. On top of the new characters, new Dragon Ball Super costumes based on the Pride Troopers from Universe 11 and the Kamikaze Fireballs from Universe 2 will be available for purchase for your custom fighter at some point in the future as well. An upcoming update will also include a free “Hero Colosseum” mode, which includes its own unique story and figure based gameplay. Check out the scan for yourself below!

Additional details about the announced content have yet to be announced. Since the previously announced Demon King Dabura and Majin Buu (Gohan Absorbed) have yet to see a release date, perhaps all of this content will release together. Expect screenshots and trailers somewhere down the line, as is Bandai Namco’s tradition with the title.

Demon King Dabura and Gohan-absorbed Buu are heading to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2

Long awaited characters finally make their appearance.

Months after the fourth and seemingly final DLC pack for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 was released, it looks like players can expect new additions to the time traveling anime fighter. In a recent issue of V-Jump, Bandai Namco announced that Demon King Dabura and Gohan-absorbed Buu will be coming to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 as DLC. Those who purchase the upcoming DLC pack will also have access to the evil Kai, Zamasu, as a mentor. This will give Zamasu’s apprentices access to his special moves as well as the usual dialogue of praise and scold depending on how well you do in matches. Not much else is known about the upcoming DLC, but it will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch so everyone will be able to have a chance to grab the new additions.

Players have been expecting these characters to be added to the game after they data mined the last DLC pack’s update information. Data listings for characters coded “BUU” and “DBR” were found within the update causing players to speculate when the addition of Dabura and Gohan-absorbed Super Buu would finally be implemented. It is interesting that it has taken so long to add Dabura — who is the elder brother to Mira, one of the primary antagonists of the Xenoverse series — to the games. Perhaps there will be an additional story scenario with the siblings together at last in the Xenoverse series. There’s bound to be more information soon, so be on the lookout!
