New edition comes with all 8 DLC characters at a lower price

A new edition of Dragon Ball FighterZ was just revealed in a recent issue of V-Jump magazine. Called the Dragon Ball FighterZ Deluxe Edition, this new edition is coming to PlayStation 4 in Japan this coming January.

The Dragon Ball FighterZ Deluxe Edition comes with all 8 DLC characters that have been released – Bardock, Broly, Merged Zamasu, SSB Vegeto, Base Vegeta, Base Goku, Cooler, and Android 17. It will arrive this coming January and will cost only ¥6,100 (US$54).

This price makes this new edition an inexpensive entry point for players who have yet to purchase the game. Currently, each DLC character goes for ¥540 (US$5) and the FighterZ Pass for all of them goes for ¥3,240 (US$34.99). This means that those who purchase the Deluxe Edition get the complete package for the cost of the base game.

While we’ve known about Nonon Jakuzure and Houka Inumuta being in Kill la Kill: The Game, it’s only now that we’re getting some details on their appearances in the game.  Arc System Works and APlus Games have released new details and screenshots of these two Elite Four members.

Both these characters will be using their original Three-Star Goku Uniforms from the anime. This isn’t surprising, considering that both Ira Gamagoori and Uzu Sanageyama have been given the same.

Houka Inumuta uses information and confusion to win his battles, with weak hitting attacks but high mobility and the ability to use optical camouflage. Additionally, he has a unique gauge similar to Ira Gamagoori. In his case, this is the “Analyze Gauge” which he fills by hitting the target marker with the clones that are his long range attacks. This gauge can then be consumed to power up his moves. As for his close range attacks, he has his close range kick from episode 10 of the anime. Meanwhile, his special break attack is a counter that activates when he’s hit by his opponent.

Nonon Jakuzure specializes in long range attacks based on sound. Some of her “reverberation attacks” will stay in place for a period of time, allowing her a modicum of advanced space control. Additionally, her melee attack is a two stage shockwave that follows the movements of her baton. Finally, her special break attack fires a large beam from her hat, while her special attack has her rain down sound projectiles all over the stage.

Kill la Kill: The Game arrives on PlayStation 4 sometime in 2019. In the meantime, check out these new screenshots of Nonon and Houka.

When Dead or Alive 6 arrives in February, one of the packages that fans can buy is a digital deluxe edition with some extras; some of these extras involve exclusive costumes for some of the characters.

Now, Team NINJA has shown off art of two of the costumes for characters receiving these exclusive costumes — the designs in particular are for Lei Fang and Tina. The former’s costume is a sexy cross between “bad girl” and traditional Chinese costumes. The latter’s on the other hand goes for a slightly more stereotypical sexy cowgirl look, similar to what she’s had in previous games.

Dead or Alive 6 is set to launch on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on February 15, 2019.

Two more classic Shonen Jump characters have been added to Bandai Namco’s Jump Force. Kenshin Himura and Makoto Shishio from Nobuhiro Watsuki’s Rurouni Kenshin were revealed by Weekly Jump as the latest characters joining the game.

For those not familiar with this classic series, Kenshin is a former assassin for what would eventually become the Meiji government, who later retired and swore never to kill again — resorting to using a reversed-edge blade. Shishio on the other hand was Kenshin’s successor, who later became one of the most iconic villains for the series.

In addition to both, the issue of Weekly Jump also gave out some details on the game’s avatar creation system. Players will be able to customize the hairstyle, face, body type, gender, voice, battle style, and costume (with individual pieces for their top, bottom, arms and legs).

Jump Force arrives on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 14 in Japan, and PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on February 15 in the West.

For the SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy faithful out there, here is some very important news: Miss X is now available for the game on PlayStation 4 and Switch.

Originally appearing in SNK Gals Fighters, Miss X started out simply as Iori cross-dressing as that game’s final boss. With SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy however, in addition to that version Miss X gets to be a new incarnation that’s actually a girl, in a similar gender-bending fashion to Terry Bogard and ARIKA guest fighter Skullomania. Interestingly enough, the gender flip isn’t what seems to bother Miss X the most in this game — rather, it’s the fact that one of the included costumes is that of a fangirl for their eternal rival, Kyo Kusanagi.

Alongside Miss X, SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy is receiving a patch to version 1.30. — whether this adds balance changes alongside the data for Miss X is currently unknown.

Compared to the standard and International version, the “Christmas Edition” is missing some The King of Fighters games, but trades these for games from other franchises such as Fatal Fury, Metal Slug, and more. This new bundle also includes two NEO GEO Mini control pads, and some other goodies.
