For those looking for more fighting games to play on their PCs, here’s something for you: French Bread and Ecole Software’s hit fighting game, Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late, is finally making its way to PC.

Arc System Works will be bringing Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late, or UNIEL for short, to PC via Valve’s Steam service on July 12.

The game, which hit arcades back in 2012 and PlayStation 3 in 2014 is an expansion to the original Under Night In-Birth and features 16 unique characters as well as accessible controls for newer players. Its most unique feature, however, is the Grind Grid, a meter that’s used to encourage certain aggressive playstyles. Proper use of this allows players to enter Vorpal State and use Chain Shifts.

In time with the announcement, Arc System Works has released the following trailer.

As for the series latest installment, Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st], no word has yet been given on when it’ll hit home consoles, let alone PC.

Ever since Freddy Kreuger terrorized last generation’s Mortal Kombat 9, NetherRealm has been including horror-themed guest characters in the Mortal Kombat games; Mortal Kombat X actually has 4. With this in mind, one can’t help but wonder why the company doesn’t make a game dedicated to those characters.

This is the question that Mortal Kombat co-creator and NetherRealm founder Ed Boon addresses in a short interview with Game Informer. When asked about why they don’t just throw all these horror characters together in one game, Boon stated that as they’ve been adding such characters to Mortal Kombat X the idea “has been coming up more and more frequently.” He continues by saying that “maybe one day we’ll do it.”

While this doesn’t necessarily mean that NetherRealm will be making such a game any time soon–they’re currently too busy focusing on Mortal Kombat X and Injustice 2 to dedicate resources to a third fighting game–it does mean that one is within the realm of possibility. At the very least, this interest in making one may finally force Capcom to restart work on Darkstalkers 4.

Last year, KOEI Tecmo and Team NINJA held the first Dead Or Alive Festival. The event gave the Japanese Dead Or Alive 5 community a chance to compete and shine in a game that’s traditionally dominated by the west.

The event is set to return this July with players from not just Japan, but all over Asia coming to compete for a chance to go to the Dead Or Alive 5 Last Round Battle Royal finals at Final Showdown at NEC. In their way will be three of America’s finest DOA5LR players: Xcalibur Blades, BBoy Dragon, and Air Gear.

The event itself will take place on July 9 at the Osaki Bright Core Hall in Tokyo, Japan. In addition to the tournament, there will be other events at the festival including cosplay and illustration competitions. Exclusive merchandise will also be available at the event including a special costume voucher that’s free for all attendees.

The biggest thing to look forward to, however, is the possibility of a major announcement related to the Dead Or Alive franchise. Last year’s event saw the announcement of the DOA Xtreme 3, this year however, with the company’s previous hints of a big  surprise for the game, many are expecting something related to Dead Or Alive 5 Last Round.

Eightarc and Qanba have been around the FGC for some time now. Their previous line of arcade sticks provided dual console compatibility at the cost of using unlicensed chips that skirted official certification from Sony and Microsoft.

Now, both companies have come together for their first officially licensed arcade stick for the PlayStation 4. Called the Eightarc Drone, this new arcade stick is notable for a couple of things. First, this is a budget arcade stick, retailing for only $89.99. This brings it more in line with the previous generation Qanba Q1 than the top of the line dual console sticks such as the Eightarc Fusion. It also means that it’s using Qanba parts instead of actual arcade parts from Sanwa, Seimitsu or HORI.

The second thing about this stick, one that’s quite noticeable even just from the pictures, is that it basically looks like a cut size copy of HORI’s current generation Real Arcade Pro. While this shouldn’t really be a concern for anyone who just wants lower cost arcade stick, it might bother some folks, especially when the Real Arcade Pros cost just $30 more.

SNK has been pushing its upcoming fighter, the King of Fighters XIV, quite hard these past few months. As part of that effort, the game will be making its television debut this weekend.

The King of Fighters XIV is set to be featured on the July 2 episode of E-Sports MAX. The show, which focuses on competitive video games, will be showcasing the game with the help of KoF player Dune, who will be there to explain the fundamental gameplay and strategy behind the game as they go over some matches and replays.

This move represents possibly the first time that not just a KoF game, but an SNK fighting game has been on Japanese television since the late nineties, and seems to show SNK’s dedication to promoting their upcoming title.

E-Sports MAX airs on Saturdays on the Tokyo MX network.

Arcade Shock is no stranger to bringing out Sanwa arcade parts featuring unique designs. A few months back, they released a series of Street Fighter V themed balltops and buttons, now they’re following that up with another set of special balltops.

This new series of Street Fighter V x Sanwa Denshi balltops features character art by Motoki Yoshihara. For those who’re unfamiliar with his work, Yoshihara is responsible for the Basara manga that Capcom publishes in Japan. Additionally, he also did the Street Fighter III: 3rd Universe design for SPLITFRAME.

The images on these balltops are done in Yoshinara’s unique style, eschewing the 3D model art look that’s more common today.

Pre-orders for these are now open at Arcade Shock, the balltops themselves will officially launch at Evo this July.
