Burn Your Opponents with Mortal Kombat X’s Hellfire Scorpion

As with previous installments, Scorpion is once again one of the more popular characters in Mortal Kombat X. However, just because there are many players using a character doesn’t mean that all of them are competent. If you’re one of those folks who find yourself struggling, this advanced combo guide from EGP|Wonder Chef might just be the thing for you.

In the video below, Wonder Chef demonstrates a good number of practical and damaging combos for Scorpion’s Hellfire variation. These include combos from his best starting pokes as well as some chip damage setups that deal good damage even if Scorpion is blocked.

For reference, we’ve added Wonder Chef’s combo notation after the video.

Punish Your Opponents with This Command Grab Option Select in Mortal Kombat X

Option selects in fighting games are powerful tools that allow players to limit the game to one of two outcomes depending on what their opponent does. This means that players performing an option select can generally apply safe pressure and expect a positive outcome with minimal repercussion.

In this new video, Delaphaz demonstrates one such option select setup for Mortal Kombat X that requires a character to have a command grab that can be canceled from a down 1 or down 3 on block, but not on hit. This means that any players trying to defend these attacks risk getting thrown by the command grab if they do block it, or possibly eating a combo from said normal if they don’t.

While the demonstration below utilizes Ferra/Torr, the option select works for most characters with a command grab and should prove to be a powerful tool for their gameplay.

Learn New Ways to Snatch Up Super Jumping Opponents with Vergil in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3

If you’re a Vergil player looking for something to give you an extra edge in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, here’s something you’ll want to check out. CORN’s MachoMexican has shared a new video that demonstrates a way to catch super jumping opponents and convert it into a full combo.

This new setup is a variation of what most Vergil players already use. Traditionally, most Vergil players will utilize H teleport into Helm Breaker, but this method doesn’t always lead to a combo depending on multiple factors. Instead, Machomexican’s setup uses a combination of Vergil’s Round Trip glitch and Spiral Swords, as demonstrated in the video below.
