Activision Blizzard executive Brian Bulatao sent an email to staff just a day after reports starting coming out that unionization efforts had started at the company, stressing that the game publisher can fix its workplace culture without the need to unionize. However, ominously, the former Trump Administration official, cautioned employees to ‘consider the consequences’ of signing up with the Communications Worlds of America (CWA).
Raph Koster’s Playable Worlds won’t be officially announcing its MMO until next year, according to a message posted to Discord by its community manager. The message, retweeted by the official Playable Worlds accounts states that while development is ‘underway and making great progress,’ the studio has decided to delay sharing details until sometime in 2022.

At The Game Awards this evening, Funcom and Shiro Games announced the title of the upcoming Dune-based strategy game in the works. Dune: Spice Wars is a 4X RTS set in Frank Herbert’s universe and is scheduled to hit early access sometime next year on PC.

The Lord of the Rings Online has been busy this fall with the launch of their latest expansion, Fate of Gundabad. Today’s update improves some of the issues with Gundabad’s release, as well as starts allowing players to get rid of those old Legendary items that have been held onto since the revamp earlier this year.
