Amazon Game Studios announced today that it was delayed their upcoming MMORPG, New World, by a month today. This isn’t the first time the MMO has been delayed, and now the anticipated MMO will launch on September 28th.
An in-game convention in Final Fantasy 14 saw a familiar face appear as an attendee: Bethesda Game Studios’ Todd Howard. Now before you get too excited, this wasn’t the real Todd Howard, but an incredibly well-made cosplay in-game by player who decided to have a bit of fun during LunarCon last weekend.
In an update on the Crowfall website, ArtCraft co-founder Gordon Walton addressed fans in the latest Founder’s Update. This update itself focuses on the recently released 3-faction PvP mode, The Shadow, as well as controversy which sprang up as the last Dregs campaign came to a close.
In what has become a trend, Blizzard is reporting lower monthly active users with its most recent quarterly financial report, seeing a drop from 27 million MAUs in Q1 2021 to a reported 26 million MAUs in Q2 2021.
In the summer producer’s letter, EverQuest II’s Jenn Chan announced that the next update to the venerable MMORPG, Toil and Trouble, would be coming next week on August 10th. Details themselves were scant, but Chan hinted that there would be "something for everyone" in the upcoming update.
Activision Blizzard’s employees have formed a coalition of workers across the publisher’s studios. The coalition, which calls itself the ABK Workers Alliance, is stepping up to organize the collective actions taken in response to the lawsuit allegations against Activision Blizzard late last month, specifically criticizing the lawfirm the gaming giant has chosen to audit the workplace.
The war that has been raging since summer of 2020 seems to have ended in EVE Online, as Reddit is awash with propoganda stating that Imperium have won World War Bee 2. This war, which has included battles which have earned the playerbase multiple world records, has raged for over a year, yet now with a PAPI alliance withdrawl from Delve, the end seems to be in sight.
Crowfall has started its post-launch push with their first content drop since the PVP MMO hit PCs fully last month. Called "The Shadow," this 3-faction PvP mode is geared to getting players into the main draw of Crowfall – PvP – without the need of a guild to get them there.
Mortal Online 2’s latest beta patch notes have some goodies for those who have been looking for some changes to pet leveling in the MMO. The new patch details a rework of how pet leveling works, as well as brings new tweaks and changes to the MMO.
The Wayward Realms is an upcoming RPG from OnceLost Games, and is seeking to capture the magic of older Elder Scrolls games, like Daggerfall and Arena. And that’s good, as the team making this new RPG is helmed by some of the series’ creators.
