World of Warcraft is gearing up for its major content update for Shadowlands, called Chains of Domination, and today it decided to just drop the content notes to dissect ahead of time. Launching on June 29th, WoW’s 9.1 update will include a new zone, dungeon, raid as well as the normal balance tweaks major patches come with.
AION Classic has been out for one day, and despite that it seems as though NCSoft will have its hands full trying to assure current players that its monetization model doesn’t inspire pay-to-win comparisons. This is due to the way its currently being handled, especially as players can spend money for in-game items to then sell for in-game currency.
The Lord of the Rings Online has been talking about servers a lot lately, from the idea of a true classic server to the new legendary servers announced a few weeks back. Now we have a firm date as to when players can expect to see the new servers hit: June 30th.
Elyon, the MMORPG formerly known as Ascent: Infinite Realm, laid out some of what players can expect in their upcoming closed beta test, kicking off in August. One major item of note is how the test will handle leveling, as well as the chance of checking out the MMO’s in-game shop ahead of its launch later this year.
Palia, the upcoming MMORPG from ex-Riot-developer led Singularity 6 is gearing up for its first pre-alpha tests. The team stated today on the official Discord server that they expect pre-alpha invites to start going out "in abut a week."
The next class in Black Desert is launching next week, but pre-creation has started today. Players can jump into the MMO and start to design and reserve their names when the floodgates, so to speak, open on June 29th. Pearl Abyss, for their part, want to see your creation in a new contest.
The PVP madness is back in The Elder Scrolls Online as the annual Midyear Mayhem event is returning tomorrow, June 24th. The event, which will see players clash with each other for more than just glory, will run until July 6th.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite has got a release date, with Cold Iron Studios aiming for an August 24th release.
The Black Ops update, Enter the Portal, has now launched on the live version of EVE Online, bringing big changes to Black Ops hulls in the sci-fi space-faring MMO. Additionally, visual changes are being implemented on the test server, Singularity ahead of a full launch on live.
