Desk’s newest Street Fighter V combo video is an unusual one. Instead of centering around a specific mechanic, character, or other common aspect of the game, Desk decided to hit up the Bustling Side Street stage where he made sure to dress everyone in a noodly hat before getting started.

On top of rocking a ramen hairpiece, Desk makes sure every character brings out their best for the combo exhibition. Much like Desk’s previous work in Street Fighter V–and for much of Street Fighter IV–these combos deal precisely enough damage to land the killing blow. But that’s not all that’s on the line: any action performed by the second player in order to pull off the combo had to be performed in real time, as the noodles only come into play outside of training mode.

Chun-Li has been touted as one of the best characters–if not the best character–in Street Fighter V. With amazing buttons, pressure through the use of instant air lightning legs, terrifying setups and long combos, such claims certainly do hold some merit.

But she, as any other character, is not without her flaws. In an effort to help players pick apart this best character candidate, Zissou compiled another matchup video loaded with tips for beating her. These tips include highlighting Chun-Li’s unsafe moves, showing when she is at advantage to prevent unwise button presses, and a breakdown of her less obvious move properties.

PAX East was home to many exciting events over the weekend, but one that drew our attention was Iron Galaxy Studios’ stream detailing Killer Instinct Season 3’s upcoming contender, Mira. To accompany that information, the folks behind Killer Instinct recently showed off a trailer for the new character, which we’ve included below.

Set to music from Atlas Plug and Celldweller, this release trailer offers a brief look at Mira’s past, how she reacts to her sister, Maya, and, of course, how she goes about pummeling her enemies with many of her attacks.

Mira is slated to join the Killer Instinct roster before the end of the month.

As promised earlier this week, the folks at Iron Galaxy Studios just went live with their first look at upcoming Killer Instinct Season 3 addition, Mira.

This event will be taking place on two different streams, both of which you can find embedded below. The first just began and will continue to run until around 8 AM PDT (11 AM EDT) and is intended as a more general character showcase that everyone–even those who don’t delve into the genre–can enjoy. After that, Mira will be moving over to Iron Galaxy Studios’ Twitch channel where the team will break down everything this upcoming fighter brings to the game.

If you can’t tune in, don’t worry! We’ll be constructing a text-based character breakdown shortly after the stream concludes.

In a new video, FightersLegend takes a look at how Pokkén Tournament’s Mewtwo can go about stylishly pummeling opponents in both Field Phase and Duel Phase. While the video doesn’t offer a look at the damage output of the combos, the psychological strain tied to falling victim to something so flashy is undeniably high.

None of these strings are quite as devastating as the Mewtwo option we saw in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U earlier this week, but, who knows, these combos may pave the way to new Pokkén technology in the future.

When playing a character capable of covering more ground in less time than most of the other fighters they stand to face, it’s important to make the most of each available mobility option to ensure that character can continue to run circles around their competition.
