LAS VEGAS — Raymond Daniels thought his rematch with Nieky Holzken at Glory 23 would be different. He was wrong.

After storming through a number of high-profile cities across the globe, worldwide kickboxing giant Glory is finally coming through the fight capital of the world.

Resurrection Fighting Alliance middleweight prospects Andrew Sanchez and John Poppie will headline RFA 28 in Chase Park Plaza in St. Louis Friday night and now they can get some food.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship continues to piece together its Oct. 3 card in Houston, which will be held inside the Toyota Center.

After struggling to make the junior welterweight limit for over a year and not quite dazzling the boxing world as he did when he dominated Lucas Matthysse, former 140-pound world champion Danny Garcia finally made his welterweight debut a terrific one.

The intriguing Premier Boxing Champions’ on ESPN card became official when all four of the event’s main card made weight Friday afternoon. The quartet of Danny Garcia, Paulie Malignaggi, Daniel Jacobs and Sergio Mora all came in just below their contracted limits, resulting in a lack of drama at the weigh-ins.

Bellator MMA already had the fight world’s attention leading up to their historic Bellator MMA “Dynamite” event, but the promotion announced another intriguing battle to the marquee: the Glory light heavyweight championship between Zack Mwekassa and Saulo Cavalari.

Former light heavyweight title challenger Anthony “Rumble” Johnson is slated to make his return to action on Sept. 5 in one of the featured bouts of UFC 191.
