Zuffa, the company that owns the Ultimate Fighting Championship, made another major announcement this morning regarding its popular UFC Fight Pass digital platform.

M-1 Global earlier today announced a stacked card in its M-1 Challenge series to be held on June 6 in Ingushetia, Russia. The main event of M-1 Challenge 58 “Battle in the Mountains 4” will be a tussle for the vacant welterweight title between Igor Fernandes and Murad Abdulaev.

Jessica Andrade and Sarah Moras will square off in a featured bantamweight bout at UFC Fight Night “Mir vs. Duffee in San Diego on July 15.

Former professional boxer Tony Ayala, Jr. has been found dead this morning. Ayala’s corpse was discovered in the Zarzamora Street Gym in San Antonio, a gym he helped run with his brothers. The initial reports indicate that Ayala died of cardiac arrest.

It was deemed “The Fight of the Century” and after having the revenue numbers revealed, it might as well have been labeled the fight of the millennium.

Heralded as the best weekend of the year for Ultimate Fighting Championship junkies, the UFC Fan Expo attracts tens of thousands of fight fans from around the globe annually. Centered around the UFC’s massive July 4 card, the Fan Expo is accustomed to other Las Vegas-based promotions getting in on the action.

With HBO replaying the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight and having the co-main event between Humberto Soto and Frankie Gomez being scrapped at the last minute, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and James Kirkland had a sizable burden to bear as the only fight being televised.
