WBA and WBC interim middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (33-0, 30 KOs) will meet IBF titlist David Lemieux (34-2, 31 KOs) in a unification bout on October 17 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Golovkin, who has knocked out all of his last 20 opponents and made 14 tsuccessful title defences, meets Canada’s Lemieux, who won his title in June by knocking down Hassan N’Dam four times on the way to a points win, in a match-up between two explosive punchers.

Kid Galahad’s two-year ban upheld

British super bantamweight contender Kid Galahad has had his appeal against a two-year suspension rejected by the UK Anti-Doping agency.
The 25-year-old was the reigning European and Commonwealth champion when he tested positive for the banned steroid stanozolol after beating Adeilson Dos Santos for the vacant IBF youth super bantamweight title in September last year.
