Black Desert Online has a lot to celebrate this year. With their 5th anniversary in full swing, and recently taking over publishing rights in North America and Europe, Pearl Abyss will provide Black Desert Online’s Novice Edition for free to all players, until March 10th, 2021.
Today is the day Pearl Abyss takes over publishing Black Desert in the West.
Black Desert Online is changing publishers this month, with Pearl Abyss taking over from Kakao publishing their MMO in the West. The community team is hosting a stream today to discuss the handover and transition, as well as give in-game rewards during the stream.
The anniversary event for Black Desert on console is live. Don’t worry, you have a few weeks to dive in and earn those rewards.
Service transfers have been underway in Black Desert Online since late January, though the team at Pearl Abyss is givng BDO players a deadline to ensure their accounts are transferred. Any account not transferred to a Pearl Abyss account will be deleted on May 31st, according to the MMO developer.
In two weeks, Black Desert Online for PC will be swithcing to Pearl Abyss as they take over the publishing of their massively popular MMO from Kakao. However, the transfers of account service haven’t exactly gone smoothly for many people. Pearl Abyss has posted a new post detailing some of the resolved issues surrounding the transfer issues for those who need them.
The recently added Nova class for Black Desert has received more changes and tweaks as part of the latest patch.
