WBA light middleweight champion Erislandy Lara (24-2-2, 14 KOs) easily defeated former world champion Yuri Foreman (34-3, 10 KOs) by a fourth round KO on Friday night at Hialeah Park Racing and Casino in Miami, Florida.

ARMS Launches Onto the Nintendo Switch This Spring
Well, it’s not quite the announcement many were hoping for, but Nintendo has revealed at least one fighting game for their new console. Titled ARMS, this fighter is part boxing, part shooter and part platformer, as various colorful characters bounce around a wild arena, trying to land that desperate one-two knockout.
ARMS has players holding two JoyCons like boxing gloves, firing off punches with giant springy arms. You can curve punches round your opponent’s guard, jump and dash round your opponent’s extendo-limbs and unleash big special attacks to knock out your enemy. I could see ARMS becoming a great side event at big events, as opponents duck and weave in real life to dodge their opponent’s blows. Combine this with the ability to pair eight Switch systems together in local multiplayer, and tournaments would be a breeze to set up. ARMS would definitely suit CEO’s wrestling ring or the Mandalay Bay arena, I’ll say that much.
The Nintendo Switch will launch simultaneously in all regions on March 3rd, costing $299.99, with ARMS set to release sometime in the spring.

Dillian Whyte vacates British heavyweight title
Dillian Whyte (20-1, 15 KOs) has vacated the British heavyweight title so he can pursue a world title fight by the end of the year.
Whyte was ordered to make a defence against Sam Sexton by the British Boxing Board of Control, but he has elected to vacate the belt and seek a world title fight.

WBA light welterweight champion Ricky Burns (41-5-1, 14 KOs) will fight IBF titleholder Julius Indongo (21-0, 11 KOs) in a unification clash on April 15 at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland.

WBA super featherweight champion Jezreel Corrales (21-1-1, 8 KOs) outpointed former champion Takashi Uchiyama (24-2, 20 KOs) by a split decision in a rematch on Saturday night at the Ota-City General Gymasium, in Tokyo, Japan.

Yukinori Oguni (19-1-1, 7 KOs) dethroned IBF super bantamweight champion Jonathan Guzman (22-1, 22 KOs) by a 12 round unanimous decision on Saturday at Shimazu Arena in Kyoto, Japan.
