Two-weight world champion Paulie Malignaggi has confirmed his retirement from boxing following last Saturday’s defeat to British contender Sam Eggington at London’s O2.

WBC bans Alexander Povetkin over failed drug tests

Heavyweight contender Alexander Povetkin (31-1, 23 KOs) has been handed a fine of $250,000 and banned indefinitely by the WBC for doping violations.
Povetkin twice tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs in 2016.
