EVE Online fans will want to be on hand during this weekend’s live stream of the final action in the Alliance Tournament XIII. Alliances have been in the preparation stages for months, complete with practice runs and fleet assembly. Teams are vying for bragging rights, tournament ships, reward medals and PLEX.
In a genre built upon innovation and refinement of core ideas, EVE Online stands alone as an almost entirely unique game. While most other games tend to follow a logical progression of innovation, where playing the predecessor equips you for playing the successor, there really isn’t much of an analogue for EVE Online.

CCP has released a brand new video for EVE Online that shines the spotlight on recent changes, including today’s Aegis part two, on how the lawlessness of nullsec has undergone some pretty significant changes to bring more strategic battle for resources into play. The Reavers were never meant to take ED-L9T. They were harassers and skirmishers sent by The Imperium, the largest of EVE Online’s player-made coalitions. While The Imperium was locked in a deadly conflict against rival alliances Darkness and The Kadeshi, the Reavers were sent behind enemy lines, to Querious, to wreak as much havoc as possible.
When enemies are assaulting one of your systems, most pilots would exercise caution and attempt to gather intel before engaging. But when the call went out about a raid from Gallente militia forces on the Caldari system of Esesier, Mr Duffo took the more direct approach. For the average faction warfare pilot, warping to the large Caldari outpost and seeing the eight enemy pilots capturing it would have caused most to flee, but, then again, Mr Duffo isn’t like most.
