Everyone has a fighting chance
EVE Online’s player-spun intrigue has taken a few new turns recently, with The Mittani getting cozy with Max Singularity and declaring the CFC the new Imperium. Top that with massive-scale space warfare, and you have "the gaming equivalent of House of Cards meets Game of Thrones." (or is that A.D.: The Bible Continues?
A new video has been posted by the EVE Online team to show off some of the massive upheaval going on in the territories outside the center of the game universe. Called "sovereignty", the system allows players to control territory in the non-NPC controlled areas of EVE.
CCP has let us know that one of the largest interstellar battles in recent memory is taking place right now in EVE Online. According to the tip, two of the game’s largest coalitions are fighting a battle royal in an unnamed solar system. The event is being broadcast live on Daopa’s Twitch.tv channel. Testing out the new update site, CCP has revealed that the EVE Online Scylla update is now live. The update site is a newly revealed subsite of the main EVE site that is a clearinghouse for all past and future patches to the game.
The 2015 Fanfest, centered squarely around EVE, Valkyrie and DUST 514, is underway. While next to impossible to fully portray virtual reality in a video, the EVE: Valkyrie team has done a terrific job giving fans a look at just how the game will play during today’s Fanfest 2015 opening ceremony. CCP has announced that a new art book for EVE Online is in the works. The book will cover ten years of EVE and will also include pieces from DUST 514 and Valkyrie. The concept pieces comprise a coffee table sized book of about 192 pages, a million words and is being published in conjunction with Dark Horse Comics.
The second major EVE Online update of 2015 is now in the books with the arrival of the Tiamat content expansion that continues the game’s progress through a major overhaul and update throughout the balance of the year. Tiamat sees significant improvements to audio, graphics and effects on the back end side of things and several big feature improvements on the client side.

CCP Games has revealed the first details about the next EVE Online update. Called "Tiamat", the update is scheduled to hit live service on February 17th. Among other things, players can look forward to NPCs with new abilities that make them smarter and more dangerous. Projectile weapons have been rebalanced, UI improvements will be added and a new Tiamat soundtrack will be included as well.
