Snake Eyez Grapples with -R- and Super Santarou Man in Ultra Street Fighter IV

Some time back, we showcased a couple of matches of Red Bull’s Darryl “Snake Eyez” Lewis taking on YUBIKEN’s Dashio and Hagejin when he visited their team headquarters in Japan. Luckily for all of you Zangief fans out there, those weren’t the only sets that the visiting American played. In these new videos, Snake Eyez takes on two more of the organization’s best and brightest.

For the first match, Russian wrestling takes on American boxing as Snake Eyez faces YUBIKEN’s resident Balrog, -R-. This competitor gives Snake Eyez quite a fight at first, resulting in a couple of clutch wins. However, he is able to quickly adapt and use footsies to get in and take control of the matches.

Next up, Snake Eyez is paired with Super Santarou Man. As one of the best Sagat players in the world, he’s obviously able to give Zangief quite a difficult matchup. Even when Snake Eyez gets the lead, it still feels as if Santarou is in control, as his zoning and poking game can quickly turn the match back into his favor. This forces Snake Eyez to dig deep and take a couple of hard reads to punish Sagat with Zangief’s Ultra 2 in the closing rounds of this match.

Killer Instinct Team Requests Feedback on Season Two Content

Just as they did after the conclusion of Killer Instinct season one, the folks at Iron Galaxy Studios and Microsoft Studios launched a survey earlier today asking players a plethora of questions about their experiences with the game’s latest round of content.

The survey includes standard inquiries regarding play time, skill level, and the like, but also requests more in-depth input on topics relating to the Shadow Lab as well as opinions on favorite and least favorite characters. Many of the queries come paired with text boxes so those taking the survey can be as specific as they wish.

If there’s something you love (or hate) about the game, this is the perfect time to let the team know so they can make season three–set to launch in March of next year–the best yet.

Keep the Damage Flowing with These Sakura Unblockables in Ultra Street Fighter IV

Shano recently put up a video showing the best ways for Sakura to keep the damage going after a combo ends through the use of various unblockables in Ultra Street Fighter IV.

The majority of these setups work on one or two targets at best, but that’s just the nature of this sort of thing. There are, to be sure, a small number that work on a wider swath of cast members, but they’re certainly not the majority in the footage below. The good news–or, I suppose, the bad news, depending on which end of the setup you’re on–is that Shano has included plenty of variety when it comes to the type of knockdown delivered and wakeup timing used.

I personally found the destruction that Sakura can bring to an unsuspecting Ibuki to be nothing short of alarming. Maybe their rival battle has more anger behind it than the short cinematic would lead players to believe.

Street Fighter V’s Laura Shocks the Competition in Official Reveal Trailer

After first being leaked by Famitsu due to some serious mishandling of assets, PlayStation has officially revealed Street Fighter V’s Brazilian newcomer Laura.

As you can see in the video below, Laura brings a ton of electrifying attacks to the table, dishing out an impressive mix of strikes and grabs, bypassing fireballs, and even setting up her own slow-moving projectile.

These trailers are typically accompanied by additional gameplay details, so stay tuned for that information in the very near future.

Street Fighter V is scheduled to launch for PlayStation 4 and PC sometime next spring.

Nintendo to Address Diddy Glitch in Upcoming Super Smash Bros. Patch

Nintendo plans to correct a Diddy Kong glitch that surfaced in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS after a recent patch with another update in the near future.

The bug, which allowed the chimpanzee to become unthrowable with a rather simple shielding technique, made waves in the Smash community thanks in part to its absurd nature and the fact Diddy is already considered one of the game’s strongest characters.

No word has been provided as to when players can expect this patch to drop, but we do know that it will be mandatory. Wii U users will need to make sure they have at least 60 MB of space free on their console before downloading.

Ono: An Arcade Version of Street Fighter V is Not Impossible

When Street Fighter V launches sometime next year, it will be the first numbered Street Fighter sequel to head straight to consoles without a prior arcade release. The relatively smaller size of the arcade market compared to consoles and the fact that Sony is backing the title have both likely contributed to the upcoming game’s break with tradition.

But that doesn’t mean an arcade version won’t ever happen. In an interview with Mexican game outlet Level Up at Electronic Game Show, series producer Yoshinori Ono stated that an arcade version of the game is not impossible.

That said, the team is currently focused on the home version and the worldwide community on PlayStation 4 and PC. Ono states that hopes for an arcade version are not dead, and that Street Fighter V may eventually hit Japanese game centers sometime in the future.

Familiarize Yourself with Dengeki Bunko FIGHTING CLIMAX’s Various Assist Characters

For any players getting into the recently released Dengeki Bunko FIGHTING CLIMAX, one of the new mechanics they might have trouble wrapping their heads around are the assist characters. While the game itself is a one-on-one fighter, it also allows the selection of an supporter that can be called upon for help.

To provide a look at what all the game’s assists are capable of, Fatal Seabass recently shared a new video that breaks down their unique skills. Each support character has multiple attacks depending on which direction the player holds when calling them, and learning what they do and when to utilize them obviously forms an important part of FIGHTING CLIMAX’s gameplay.
