The “Leader of Humanity” enters this tale of souls and swords

In the recent “Libra of Souls” trailer for SoulCalibur VI, a new character was introduced to the title’s mythology but was left nameless. Now, Bandai Namco Entertainment officially revealed the name and moveset of the mysterious magician – Azwel.

A self-proclaimed “Leader of Humanity”, Azwel is the second original character to join the roster after Grøh. He wields an interesting weapon called the”Palindrome” that is able to summon other weapons out of thin air, even in the middle of his combos.

The latter half of the trailer hints at a powered up mode that players might have to fight at the end of the game (similar to some other bosses in the series’ history), one that appears to wield both Soul Edge and Soul Calibur.

SoulCalibur VI is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 19, 2018.

She comes to steal our hearts, and our hard earned cash

One of the things, players have been wondering about the upcoming SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy is whether or not it’ll be updated with additional characters as DLC. Well, now we know — though the first DLC character for the game will surprise most people.

Hot on the heels of the announcement that the King of Fighters Iori Yagami would be crossing over into Square Enix’s Million Arthur: Arcana Blood, we now have a character from the latter coming into SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy. Thief from Million Arthur will be the first DLC character for the game.

Iori joins the High Score Girl and a couple of other Square Enix guests on PlayStation 4

While players may be more familiar with their 3 on 3 arena fighter Dissidia Final Fantasy, Square Enix also has a more traditional fighting game out in arcades. Based on their Million Arthur mobile game franchise, Million Arthur: Arcana Blood first hit arcades last November. Now, the game is finally coming to home consoles.

Square Enix has announced during a recent live stream that Million Arthur: Arcana Blood will hit PlayStation 4 in Japan on November 29. However, that alone isn’t the only big news for the game: The console release will see the addition of some new guest characters, including none other than Iori Yagami from SNK’s King of Fighters series.

For those interested in how Iori will look like in the game, Gibz was able capture footage of his reveal trailer.

The other two playable guest characters are Yamaneko Arthur from HanGyaku-Sei Million Arthur, an MMO spinoff of the franchise from NetEase, and Koume Sakiyama from Lord of Vermillion 4 the latest installment of Square-Enix’s arcade collectible card game.

In addition to these, a final guest character is also being added as an assist character – Akira Oono from High Score Girl.
