Red Focus is a mechanic that really helps people land big damage combos in Ultra Street Fighter IV. As such, having a character that can use it in a variety of ways can definitely be considered a boon.

IndoImran recently put together a brand new combo video for Poison that shows off how she can implement this useful mechanic into her gameplay. A majority of the combos shown in the video below are quite easy to pull off and dole out decent damage, making them incredibly useful for those who play with this character.

A couple of weeks back, The Steam Co.’s Michael “Yipes” Mendoza surprised us all by bringing his Curleh Mustache invitational series back to the coast that first saw it take root.

As with previous installments, Curleh Mustache East Coast Edition 5 saw Yipes gathering an interesting group of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 competitors composed of both established veterans and hungry up-and-comers wanting to prove themselves.

One of the neat little easter eggs in Skullgirls Encore is how, as an homage to classic brawler Battletoads, Cerebella’s Battle Butt attack causes points to appear when used to knockout an opponent. What’s interesting about this is that the game actually allows you to get more than the usual 2,000 points, depending on how you use the move.

For those interested in this interesting system (solely for style of course, as the numbers are purely aesthetic), Zidiane recently released a video guide demonstrating situations where you can increase the amount of points you get out of Battle Butt.

If you’re at all familiar with Smash or the fighting game community in general, you’re likely caught up on the troubles that beset Apex 2015 this weekend. Though things looked grim for a minute or two, several entities were not about to see the largest Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament in history fade away because of venue issues.

During their visit to the event, Hold Back to Block put together a fantastic montage video that chronicles the early problems, the move to a new location, and the incredibly hype moments that made this year’s Apex so special. That tomato is an incredibly versatile entity in the culinary world. Considered to be either a fruit or a vegetable depending on how it’s used, the plant inhabits a vast amount of cultural dishes all across the globe. Interestingly enough, that same flexibility can be found in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, though in a way the developers probably never intended.

In a recent video uploaded by Leron Tolmachev, the title’s Maxim Tomato can be seen taking the place of every other item due to an unexplained glitch. While most still function as intended, Assist Trophies and Pokéballs cause the game to crash to the home screen.

Smash Ball? Glowing tomato. Back Shield? Protective tomato. Steel Diver? A tomato that shoots mini-tomatoes.

Funny enough, he discovers over the course of his explanation that even character-specific items, like those spawned by Pac-Man’s neutral special, show up as tomatoes as well.

After having to cut the video short thanks to battery issues, Tolmachev followed up on a few questions in the comments, stating that these issues seem confined to this one 3DS and not the game cartridge itself, leading him to believe the problem lies within the handheld.

Last week, NetherRealm Studios gave us our first glimpse of Ermac during their Mortal Kombat X stream. For those who missed it, or perhaps just want a clearer video, the developers have uploaded the official trailer from that broadcast.

As with all their reveal trailers, this one is made up of a short gameplay clip that highlights some of the ninja’s skills in the upcoming title along with his brutal x-ray attack and fatality.

A full archive of their stream has also been provided for those seeking a more in-depth look at Ermac’s skillset.

Mortal Kombat X will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on April 14.
