Stave Off Cody’s Boredom with This Collection of Character-Specific Ultra Street Fighter IV Combos

Have standard Cody combos in Ultra Street Fighter IV got you down? Has controlling the middle of the screen for knife advantage become a chore? Do you desire a vastly expanded list of bread and butters from which to draw once the fists start flying?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, the brand new video from freeno0b we’ve included below may be just the cure for what ails you. These character-specific Cody strings are sure to bring an added level of hype to any match involving the perpetually bored vigilante.

And as an added bonus, here’s another video from freeno0b that demonstrates a couple of different ways that Cody can dizzy Oni. While these combos burn plenty of meter and each involve a single reset to guarantee that Oni actually ends up seeing stars, they’re great tools for Cody players keep in mind for when the momentum of a match swings heavily in their favor.

Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late Heading to North America on February 24

uniel-background-622-crop

While players in North America with no issue importing or setting up foreign PlayStation Network accounts have been duking it out in Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late since July, the title will officially reach western shores early next year on February 24.

Developed by French-Bread and Ecole Software, Under Night occupies a very exclusive space in the realm of fighter, as it straddles the fence between the fast-paced aerial combat of “anime” games while also incorporating Street Fighter’s heavy emphasis on the footsie game. Additionally, the title’s unique Grind Grid (or GRD) system affords it an interesting shared resource for competitors to vie for through a sort of tug-of-war.

In their official announcement, publisher Aksys Games also confirms that there will be no restrictions on cross-region netplay, allowing fans to challenge their fellow players no matter which version of the game they own.

For more information on just what the heck Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late is all about, be sure to check out Aevee Bee’s breakdown here.

Additional Footage of Killer Instinct’s Xbox 360 Prototype Provides Glimpse of Early Sadira, Glacius Models

Earlier this week, Past to Present Online released some very interesting footage of a Killer Instinct prototype that was developed on Xbox 360. While similar to the game that eventually released for Xbox One, it had an obvious downgrade in aesthetics and shared a look at some early models for characters like Thunder, Jago, and Sabrewulf.

Past to Present’s Andrew Borman contacted us recently with a video depicting a build that was even further along than the last one, supposedly from August 2013. One of the most noticeable differences, besides the fact Thunder is no longer a blank slate, is the inclusion of Xbox One related terms.

Additionally, this prototype features in-progress looks at both Sadira and Glacius; the former’s model is just a couple of steps up from the amorphous mannequin we’ve seen in the past (and vaguely reminds me of Virtua Fighter’s Dural), while the latter features a rather creepy stretching of Jago’s textures over its alien body.

In any case, it would appear this build sits in a rather weird space between the work Double Helix Games and Microsoft Studios put into the Xbox 360 version and the transition it made to Xbox One. Check it out below and let us know what you think.

For those who want to rock with the Kong in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, the folks over at VG BootCamp have focused on what the great ape is capable of in their second combo showcase.

Take note that not all of the combos shown here are guaranteed, as some can be escaped from in a number of ways. That said, VGBC has stated that the purpose of this is more to show what’s possible with Donkey Kong in hopes of inspiring players to develop their own stuff.

Chris Redfield Adds Hidden Missiles and Zip Lines to His Arsenal in This Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Combo Video

Chris Redfield’s damage output is nothing to laugh at in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. He totes around enough weapons to outfit an army and once that first hit connects, there’s a good chance that he’ll be able to stylishly dispatch any opponent and build a healthy amount of meter in the process. But what happens when he expands that collection of explosives and gadgets just a little bit more?

In the video below, Dragon Ranshiin teams Chris up with Doctor Doom and Spencer to equip the boulder puncher with the tools he needs to easily put down some of the biggest bodied fighters in the cast without issue. The footage also includes options for Spencer setups into hard tags, raw tag hits that connect and convert to huge damage, and a whole lot more for your viewing pleasure.
