Another Blade Strangers character trailer has been released by Nicalis;t his time, they focus on Ali, the thief from Code of Princess.
Based on Ali Baba from the folk tale Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, this master thief brings with her a bag of explosive tricks. As the trailer below demonstrates, Ali’s pretty adept at using bombs to try to steal some wins.
Get ready to represent your Z-Union in the FighterZ Cup!
Following the recent announcement of the new Party Battle Mode that was added to Dragon Ball FighterZ in the game’s latest update, it is now time for producer Tomoko Hiroki to unveil the other new mode for the game: the FighterZ Cup.
Like Party Battles, this will also be a limited-time online-only event, in which each character’s respective Z-Unions will all wage war with one another, in a similar manner to Mortal Kombat X‘s Faction Battles. Each FighterZ Cup will only be held for one week, during which Union members will face off in League Matches, ranked Z1, Z2, and Z3, with the goal of obtaining League Points for their respective Union based off of their performance. There will also be “Performance Prizes” that players can earn by fulfilling certain conditions, providing their Z-Union with bonus League Points, so even smaller Unions have a shot at great rewards.
On the seventh day, results will be announced, with rewards doled out to both Z-Unions and individual FighterZ. The inaugural FighterZ Cup kicked off yesterday — Tuesday, May 22nd — and will last until the 28th. However, since this is the very first event, each Union will have to win a series of placement matches in order to earn a League rank. You can see the full video below.

Way back in November of 2017, NJPW fans were treated with a Lars x Tanahashi crossover outfit for Tekken 7‘s arcade version, Tekken 7:Fated Retribution. The DLC release (which celebrates Tekken 7‘s first full year in retail) looks to be adding nearly all the costumes we’ve been seen go the arcades for the past several months — including many of the story mode-only outfits. This should be a huge DLC pack, and if this marks a bookend for last year’s Tekken content, maybe that means Namco is gearing up for Season 2…?

The slippery warp-striking Prince Noctis might be the newest flavor in Tekken 7 DLC, but we mustn’t forget that Fatal Fury‘s South Town boss Geese Howard is still a force to be reckoned with, as guest characters go. In the combo compilation below, tmd02 seeks to push the limits of Tekken’s combo system and offers up some impressive damage, nasty wall carries, and interesting uses for Geese’s Rage Arts and meter. Practical? Debatable, but watching Geese crush life bars like this is a fun reminder of how hype we were to get him as a guest fighter in the first place!
Dead or Alive fans, your time is nigh! Team Ninja and Koei TECMO announce a special event during this year’s Evolution Championship Series. Dead or Alive 5: Last Round will appear at Evo for the first time. Aside from a tournament, there will be an opportunity to grab special merchandise at the event.
DOA series producer Yosuke Hayashi and director Yohei Shimbori posted the following message:
“To the DOA fans and fighting game fans, thanks to you all we are proudly announcing that DEAD OR ALIVE 5 Last Round will take part in the world’s largest fighting game festival Evo.
5 years have passed since the DOA5 series started and it’s been played by more than 10 million gamers. Meanwhile, the DOA community has expanded to become larger than ever before.
To proceed to the next stage, we announced the end of the DOA5 series in December, but to my surprise the god of fighting games has given us another chance to let players enjoy this franchise at an event once more.
Though it’s a side tournament, the fact that DOA is joining Evo itself is key, and something which we have been longing for over 10 years.

Those with light wallets, be warned: The wired-only (USB) model runs $169.95 USD, and the wireless (Bluetooth)/wired is $199.95 USD. Both models include a suite of interchangeable parts and a high-speed braided micro-USB cable, and the wireless/wired model also includes a protection and travel case — which you’ll want, since this controller is more expensive than some Arcade Sticks currently on the market.
