Sol and Ragna go full-on berserk mode in this concept combo music video

It’s always a treat to see someone do a crossover concept combo video involving characters from two different fighting game series! Granted though, both Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 and BlazBlue: Central Fiction‘s respective protagonists Sol Badguy and Ragna the Bloodedge share similar character aesthetics and play styles that transition well between the two — as shown in this video.

YouTuber Ian “kazumaru88” Kirk demonstrates to viewers some practical, but flashy mid-screen and corner juggle combos with Sol and Ragna using specials, supers, Roman Cancels, Exceed Accels, Overdrives, and even Instant Kill and Astral Heat finishing combos for each respective character at the end. With “Keep the Flag Flying” from GGXXAC+ playing in the background, it makes for an entertaining and enlightening concept video, showing what Sol and Ragna are capable of!

World Warrior FGC’s “Git Gud” series demonstrates how to put together meaty setups in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition

Not sure of what to do when you knock someone down in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition? Are you wondering how the pros seem to be able to safely run mix-ups constantly on knocked-down opponents, when you can’t stop a wake-up jab or DP to save your life? It sounds like it’s time for you to learn about creating safe meaty setups.

For the beginners out there, a “meaty” is the (unfortunate) term used to describe a situation where you place an attacking hitbox over an opponent as they get up. This will allow you to stuff the almighty crouching jab on wake-up, scoring you a counter-hit and big damage. If you’ve always wondered how to create a setup like this, the latest entry in World Warrior FGC‘s “Git Gud” series is here to show you how!

Behold Fused Zamasu’s full glory with IKevinX’s anime and Xenoverse 2 references from his Dragon Ball FighterZ trailer

Revere and praise the references of the most beautiful and powerful god!

Bandai Namco Entertainment recently saw fit to bless us filthy ningens with the gameplay trailer to Dragon Ball FighterZ’s third upcoming DLC character, Fused Zamasu. As always, Dragon Ball content creator IKevinX has returned to craft a video showcasing all of the anime and Xenoverse 2 references the Dragon Ball Super antagonist has to offer, during the brief snippet of footage.

We can see that Zamasu (Fused) will be even be taking inspiration from his “corrupted” form for some of his Ki Blade attacks, as well as his battles with Future Trunks pre-Fusion. He even has an aerial kick that is unique to Xenoverse 2‘s Boss Raid version of Fused Zamasu. We can also see his Blades of Judgment and his previously-documented Level 3 Super Special Attack, the Light of Absolution. You can see the full video — as well as links to IKevinX’s past work — below.

Fused Zamasu can be purchased individually for $4.99 or as part of the FighterZ Pass — which also includes Bardock and Broly, as well as five additional DLC FighterZ that will be revealed at a later date — for $34.99. Fused Zamasu will also come with his own unique Z-Stamp, Lobby Avatar and set of colors. However, a release date for the merged deity has not been set, yet.

Super Smash Bros. for Switch will be the highlight of Nintendo’s E3

It seems that Nintendo is going all-in on the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for the Switch. Aside from hosting the Super Smash Bros. Invitational 2018, it seems that the upcoming game will be the primary focus of Nintendo’s annual E3 Direct, which will be taking place on June 12, at 9:00 AM Pacific. As such, it will have the most screen time during the presentation.

Meanwhile, the Nintendo Treehouse Live broadcast that’s set to follow the E3 Direct will also focus on Super Smash Bros. for Switch. Nintendo will be streaming live footage of the game during this broadcast.

In addition to these, the game itself is set to be playable on the E3 show floor, allowing attendees to try the game.

E3 2018 will take place from June 12 through June 14, 2018 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. As with last year’s show, this year’s show will once again be open to the general public.

Tekken World Tour Korean Masters tournament will be streamed April 28th-29th

If you have even the slightest interest in high level Tekken 7, you owe it to yourself to open up some free time during April 28th and 29th. Why? Well…

Korea, perennial home of the greatest players in the world in Tekken, is having its Masters event. 239 players across 8 pools will battle it out in what will undoubtedly be one of the toughest battle grounds on the TWT tour. You can catch the action on the official Tekken Twitch channel, and get a glimpse at some of tough brackets here on Challonge.

Super TSB is gathering powerful players for a trio of tournaments: Dragon Ball FighterZ, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, & BlazBlue: Central Fiction

It’s that time of the year again: the most popular destination on the East Coast is gathering warriors to compete in a tournament with higher stakes than usual. Super TSB returns this weekend for a must-see event of competition between Dragon Ball FighterZ, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, and BlazBlue: Central Fiction players.

The prizes — as well as the participants from around the country — make this one stand out. The DBFZ tournament has recently received an additional $250 pot bonus, and that’s in addition to the sum that will be coming from Matcherino. Furthermore, the top 16 is under consideration to be entered into the upcoming Summit of Power (the nomination phase). As for Xrd, there’s a hefty $500 pot bonus in that tournament, and it’s part of the Red Bull Conquest events.

Expect to see stand-out competitors in all events. For DBFZ, we’ll have Echo Fox|SonicFox, Echo Fox|dekillsage, PG|Nakkiel, LordKnight, and EMP|rogueyoshi, among others. GG will see many familiar faces, like PG|MarlinPie, Hotashi, SQ, Mynus, Shine, and many more. For BBCF, we might see PG|SKD and PAG|Grover fight it out again. Of course, many of these players overlap in different games.

Additionally, if you’re a fan of Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st], there’s also something for you; the Frencth Bread community in NYC is organizing a UNIST tournament on Friday. As for the main tournaments, they will take place on Saturday, April 28th, at 12:00 PM ET. Tune in to the TSB Twitch channel to catch the action, and also follow the TSB Twitter and Sway for updates or questions.

English beta test for BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle is coming soon

Arc System Works USA is speaking up about the English beta version of BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle for the first time. We’ve heard about the Japanese version of the game having a beta (a longer period for those who pre-order, but available for anyone for a limited time). The company has announced via Twitter that news regarding this is coming on Monday, April 30th.

A recent BBTAG stream informed us about the beta test period for Japanese users. It will be available for both PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch players. Additionally, the next Character Pack will be revealed later in May, and will include the next trio of fighters.

Don’t miss the launch of RED BULL CONQUEST in Chicago on April 28 — watch it live on Twitch

Who will RISE to represent Chicago in the finals?

Tomorrow — Saturday, April 28 — eager competitors in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, Tekken 7, and Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 will face off in Chicago for RED BULL CONQUEST. Red Bull Esports’ new national fighting game tournament circuit kicks off this weekend at Chicago’s Ignite Gaming Lounge to determine the Windy City’s best fighters in these titles. Saturday’s event is the first of 15 regional qualifiers to find the top competitors to represent their region in the Red Bull Conquest National Finals in Washington, D.C. in November.

You can catch all the action of Red Bull Conquest’s inaugural qualifier live on the Red Bull Esports Twitch channel! Pools begin at 3:00 PM CT (1:00 PM PT), and the top 4 begins at approximately 6:00 PM CT (4:00 PM PT). Persia and Vicious will be hosting and providing commentary!
