Get to know Android 21’s moves in this new Dragon Ball FighterZ video from Game Informer

Android 21 is a big unknown when it comes to Dragon Ball FighterZ’s cast. While the rest of the characters are all familiar faces from the original manga and anime, Android 21 was created solely for the game. Meanwhile, what we do know of her — specifically her ability to steal moves — only serves to drive players’ curiosity.

For those looking to gain an understanding of Android 21’s moveset and gameplay, Game Informer has a new video dedicated to just that. The video in particular takes time to go over her move-stealing. This includes the fact that she can actually store up to four stolen moves, while also showing how each of the slots are filled.

Additionally, they also demonstrate what happens when she steals a move from herself during a mirror match!

Dragon Ball FighterZ hits PlayStation 4, XBox One, and PC this Friday, January 26 in the West, with Japan getting the game a week later on February 1.

Dissidia Final Fantasy NT producers talk DLC releases, connections to the PSP games, and more

As some of you may be aware, Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is already available in Japan. In line with the game’s release, Famitsu recently published an interview with some of the people behind the game in a recent issue.

Interviewed were producer Ichiro Hazama and director Takeo Kujiraoka; as part of the interview, they talked about the game’s connection to the PSP games, as well as how it appeals to veterans of those. Specifically, they mention how a certain plot point from those prior games remained unresolved. Dissidia Final Fantasy NT now resolves this point.

Another thing they discussed was the release schedule for the game’s DLC characters — specifically, they stated that they will not be adding the DLC characters soon after release. Rather, they want to wait, both for the Western release (on January 30), as well as for things to “settle down” a bit after both launches.

Of course, this is just part of what they talk about, they also discuss things such as their favorite story moments, and more.

For those interested, Siliconera has translated a few highlights from the interview.

No more content updates planned for Nintendo’s ARMS, only balance changes

A translated blog post from Nintendo reveals that ARMS‘ version 5 update will be the game’s last. Though — reportedly — balance changes will continue to be implemented, the game will not receive any new content.

At this point, it’s hard to say if this news is good or bad for the zany long-range boxing game. It made quite a splash at E3 2017 (which was less than a year ago) and for the title to “fizzle out” so soon seems far-off from what Nintendo might have had planned. Though it is arguable that the game has a substantial amount of content already, and that Nintendo could be gearing up to launch a new ARMS-related IP. Again, it’s too soon to tell, but the ceasing of updates of this manner is sure to raise many questions among fans and critics alike.

If you’re curious about how ARMS stacks up as a fighter but have yet to check it out yourself, check out what our own Keagan “Interrobang!?” Spindler has to say about ARMS‘ competitive future.

FGpop shows off some stylish combos for Koishi Komeiji in Touhou 15.5

Most of the recent Touhou 15.5 combo videos that have been circulating have focused on bread and butter combos to initiate new players into the game. Sometimes, however, it’s worth it to see a combo video that just goes ham and throws practicality out of the window.

This video, which focuses on Koishi Komeiji, is part of the latter group, and goes for flash over competitive. You see a lot of assists –including Joon– but many instances of her going coast to coast with combos in this video.

OminousGames demystifies Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition’s patch notes with unlisted notable changes for the entire cast

When Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition’s patch notes leaked earlier this month, before subsequently being released in their final form one week before launch, Capcom was, to be blunt, less than clear on many of the upcoming character alterations. With extremely vague wording on various subjects, particularly when it came to many characters seeing adjustments to the hitboxes and hurtboxes on their normals, it was extremely difficult for players to determine how their favorite warriors would be turning out in Season 3. Thankfully, with the release of the new online tool sfvdiff, it’s recently become much easier to look directly in the game’s code to decipher the exact nature of some of these seemingly-minute changes, and Ominous Games has been doing just that on Twitter.

After looking through the scripts for each of the game’s 28 rebalanced world warriors, Ominous has posted lists of all of the most significant changes for each character not covered in the patch notes, noting whether each individual change was a buff or a nerf. These range from specifically listing out altered numerical values, such as how Ken’s walkspeed increase now provides him with the same forward movement speed as Cammy, to exactly how much less V-Gauge certain characters’ V-Skills build following their nerfs. With the entire cass accounted for, Ominous has collected all of the Tweets, as well as relevant comments explaining the ramifications of certain changes further into a single Moment on Twitter, for the world’s viewing pleasure.

These are undeniably a fantastic companion to the official patch notes, and may teach you a few new things about your characters that you haven’t discovered yet, so be sure to take a look and give him some love for his hard work.
