Injustice 2’s December update adds more Legendary Multiverses, along with a variety of bug fixes

Yesterday, NetherRealm Studios released the December update for Injustice 2. With the game recently undergoing heavy rebalancing in the November update earlier this month, Patch 1.13 was more focused on providing gameplay fixes, overall stability improvements, opening more new Legendary Multiverses and adding the character data for The Atom — the first member of the upcoming Fighter Pack 3 — who will be released on December 12th for those with Early Access (obtained by purchasing Fighter Pack 3 or owning the Ultimate Edition).

While most of the bug fixes were made to Gear Abilities, Brainiac and Black Canary have seen some minor balance adjustments due to these specific alterations. For the Collector of Worlds, his Cybernetic Charge will no longer always keep foes on the same side, which was preventing the move from being jumped over or slid under. This will effectively reduce his damage off of his divekicks, by making once-optimal damage combos no longer possible, as well as preventing him from being able to keep his opponents in a specific position to perfom extremely damaging Background Bounce loops on select stages.

Black Canary’s enemies will now always be in a grounded state after being hit by a MeterBurn Canary Drop, even when they are not facing Dinah’s body. This should remove a likely unintentional OTG setup that she had access to.

The Reward System for the AI Battle Simulator has also seen some adjustments for both Attacking and Defending players, as winning against a team who has the same or higher level then you now rewards you with a Platinum Mother Box, while losing the fight now nets you a Gold, with the other level tier’s rewards in terms of Mother Box rarity have been tweaked accordingly.

Additionally, Brother Eye has now located a series of four new Legendary Multiverse Portal’s for the leader of The Society, Gorilla Grodd, Green Lantern, the tyrannical Superman and the Clown Prince of Crime, The Joker, so fans of those heroes and villains can now begin the extremely long grind towards some Legendary Gear. You can view the full notes for yourself below:

Another round of premium costumes flair up the fight in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite

Sometimes the clothes really do make the man, the Mega Man, or should I say, the Proto Man?

Capcom Unity announced twelve new costumes for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, set to release on December 5 alongside the next batch of DLC characters and a huge balance update.

The Cosmic Crusaders pack features costumes for Rocket Raccoon (Rocket Space Suit Costume), Gamora (Gamora Classic Costume, Nova (Nova Prime Costume), X (Special X Costume), Zero (Special Zero Costume), and Strider (Strider Hien Costume).

The Stone Seekers set includes new costumes for Ultron (Ultron Conquest Costume), Thanos (Thanos Annihilation Costume), Spider-Man (Superior Spider-Man Costume), Frank West (Proto Man Costume), Haggar (Metro City Mayor Costume), and Jedah (Makai Messiah Costume).

Each costume pack is priced at $11.99 with the individual costumes available for $3.99. All of these costumes and the eighteen previously released costumes are all included in the Premium Costume Pass for $29.99.

The costumes released so far for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite have been pretty impressive. It is great to see the redesigned X and Zero make their gameplay debut; Jedah’s new costume is particularly classy as well. The release of the Stone Seekers pack ensures the Superior Spider-Man costume is no longer tied to the digital purchase of Spider-Man: Homecoming. Hopefully, this means that one day Xbox and PC owners could eventually obtain the Major Carol Danvers costume for Captain Marvel, which is currently a PlayStation 4 exclusive, but that might take a little more than hope.

If you want to see all the recently announced costumes in action, check out the trailers below!

My Hero Academia: One’s Justice is coming to PS4 and Nintendo Switch

Ahead of its big unveiling next Monday, the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump has revealed that yes, we are indeed getting a My Hero Academia game called My Hero Academia: One’s Justice. Based on the limited screenshots in this initial reveal, the game looks to be similar to the Ultimate Ninja Storm series, with players controlling characters within a 3D arena.

So far, series protagonist Izuku Midoriya and series antagonist Tomura Shigaraki are confirmed as playable, with the article showing the two battling it out. There are also hints of two of Midoriya’s supers, with one image showing him with One for All Full Cowl activated, while the other looks like the aftermath of him firing a Delaware Smash. Based on these factors and that the promotional artwork shows the villain All for One, One’s Justice covers up to the start of the School Trip arc at the very least.

Expect footage of My Hero Academia: One’s Justice on Monday, with more to come out of Jump Festa on December 16th. You can check out the Shonen Jump scans, courtesy of ShonenGamez and YonkouProductions.

Here’s some tips for identifying and breaking 10 of Tekken 7’s deadliest command grabs

Scallywag 93 is back with some more study material for growing Tekken 7 players. Last time he shared with 10 annoying strings to learn to low parry. In a similar fashion, today we’re taking a look at 10 command grabs that you need to be mindful of, and how to deal with them.

Particularly for command grabs with more complex inputs, there are common situations and setups that you tend to see with each type of grab. There’s more to breaking grabs then just looking at the hands, although that’s important too. Recognizing your stage positioning and opponent’s habits are also critical to grab escapes, and that can only come from practice and knowledge.

Twitch employee reviews on Glassdoor could indicate problems within the company

Twitch, the leading video game broadcaster in the world — and probably your number one spot for watching fighting game streams — has been in a weird spot lately. At least according to Glassdoor, a site where employees of the company can anonymously rate it and say what they think of management. Recently, the page has been rife with negative reviews, usually about a lack of direction. The overall rating has gone down from about 4.5 stars during mid-2016 to a current 2.8.

A reddit user compiled most of the posts; many of the Glassdoor reviews praise work perks such as unlimited paid time-off, free food, etc., but also state things like “Leadership is a mess,&#8221$$ “Terrible senior management is what will kill this company,&#8221$$ “Abandon Hope All Ye Who Enter Here,” describing lack of opportunities for growth. One review talks about the effects of the company’s acquisition by Amazon:

Half the company reports to CEO and the other half the company to the honorary CEO from Amazon. Halves pretend to work together but run more as silos than what not. Amazon is taking charge and shows as top level management scrambling to meet goals or numbers. “Top” priorities change all the time, people now get screamed at because of bugs, post mortem left and right.

Curiously enough, one review claims that Human Resource employees of the company are writing five-star reviews to “keep the Glassdoor rating afloat,” but that claim isn’t substantiated.

While negative Glassdoor reviews should be taken with a grain of salt (just like Yelp restaurant reviews, remember that people are much more likely to write about negative experiences than positive ones), they do suggest an overall trend in the company’s “growth pains,” and it’s reasonable to guess that Twitch gained some corporate baggage since the Amazon buyout in 2014.

Is Twitch doing as badly as the Glassdoor reviews suggest, though? Analysis from the Motley Fool, a multimedia financial services company, says otherwise. A recent article from the site pits Twitch as a leader in the streaming market, dominating both video game watching as well as services like Netlfix and HBO. Latest reports show Twitch’s 737,000 concurrent viewers is still more than double of YouTube Gaming. The number of active streamers on Twitch grew by 54% in Q2 of 2017, and a smaller gain of 16% in Q3 of this year.
