Pre-Orders Are Open for the New Brook PS4/PS3/PC Fighting Board with Audio Support

Brook’s new PlayStation 4 PCB now supports an audio jack for your controller.

Brook is about to introduce a new Gaming Series PCB: this time it’s the Brook PS4+ Fighting Board with Audio. This PlayStation 4/PlayStation 3/PC (via XInput) PCB now includes an audio jack (for use in PS4 mode). The board also features a turbo function and upgradeable firmware. These boards are a great means to resurrect older fight sticks for use on current platforms, or to add PlayStation compatibility to a controller that lacks it.

The board is available for pre-order now on Arcade Shock for $59.95 USD (down from full retail of $64.95), and pre-orders will also receive bonus 3M PCB-mounting feet for easy installation. Arcade Shock recommends using their custom 20-pin Quick Connect harness as well.

The Brook PS4+ Fighting Board is expected to ship in late March, 2017.

While Injustice 2 fans are still catching their breath from the mystifying Dr. Fate trailer, we already have a date for when we’ll be seeing the next new superhero–or villain–enter the ring.

Earlier this morning, WWE’s Austin Creed (a.k.a Xavier Woods) revealed that he, along with his New Day partner Kofi Kingston, “The Boss” Sasha Banks and Raw Women’s Champion Bayley, are getting a tour of NetherRealm Studios in Chicago, Illinois. As part of this studio tour, Woods and friends will be revealing a new Injustice character on March 13th at 10:00 AM EST, exclusively on his gaming channel UpUpDownDown. You can see the video, as well as tweets from Woods, below.

Additionally, YouTuber and Reddit user CabooseXBL has reached out to an NRS official to confirm that a reveal will also be coming this Thursday, March 9th, which has also been backed up by a date change on Injustice.com.

For anyone worried, I can confirm that there will be a character reveal on both the 9th (this Thursday) and the 13th (next Monday). 2 character reveals less than a week apart! Can’t wait ?

The promise of a crazy March for NRS fans continues. Perhaps we’ll see Part 2 of the “Shattered Alliances” trailer…?

While we wait to “FEEL THE POWAH,” you can see the seven things you need to know about Gear here.

Tekken 7 Will Not Feature Online Crossplay, According to Bandai Namco

With the various platforms that Tekken 7 has been announced for, there has been some speculation as to whether the game would be able to feature online crossplay similar to Street Fighter V. While it has been unlikely that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version would play nicely with each other, the PC version–the first of its kind for the Tekken series–gave some players hope.

Hope no more, sadly: there will indeed be no online crossplay support in Tekken 7; players will only play against other people sharing your chosen platform. The word was broken by Bandai Namco in Australia.

Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada elaborated, stating that the peer-to-peer protocols on each system would not physically allow for this to be possible.

Watch Razer’s Infiltration Dominate with Juri in This Street Fighter V Match Compilation

Coming into season 2 of Street Fighter V, one of the biggest bits of news that was going around was that Razer’s Lee Seon-woo–more commonly known as Infiltration–would be switching to Juri. This was a bit of a surprise, since may considered Juri to be on the weaker end of the game’s tier list. However, it seems that Infiltration has stuck to his guns, and has been dominating with the character online.

In the video below, XusesGB showcases just some of Infiltration’s matches with Juri. Here, not only can you see how impressive Infiltration’s Juri is, but you can also track how he’s climbing back up the ladder as his rank goes back up into the hundreds. The video ends on a high with Infiltration going up against Mago’s Karin in a series of matches.

Meaty Setups and a Tatsumaki Crossup: Ken Okizeme Tech for Street Fighter V

Some more techniques to keep your opponent guessing.

With a rushdown fighter like Ken, it’s important to know how to keep that pressure on your opponent after every knockdown! World Warrior wants to help, so check out this video of meaty setups to apply against quick and back-rising enemies:

Joutai offers something a bit different here, demonstrating an unusual interaction with Ken’s tatsumaki during an opponent’s wakup: if the opponent quick-rises and crouch blocks, the attack will cross them up, but not on a normal recovery. It also won’t cross up on a standing block, or against Alex, Birdie, or Zangief.

Scott Jund’s “Tryhard Invitational” Pits 8 2v2 For Honor Pro Teams against Each Other for $1000+ Prize

There’s something of a battle going on: for the standardized tournament format of For Honor. While each particular segment of the community has its own arguments, its through events like Panda Global’s 256-player weeklies that 1v1 gets the most recognition. In that light, Scott “DamnNoHtml” Jund’s 2v2 invitational serves as a strong counter-point.

Putting up $500 of his own money up for entrants–and the rest of the prize money being donated by the community–Mr. Jund’s invitational has by far the best pool of talent in the game thus far. Of particular notes are entrants Pietari “Petemoo” Jukarainen, currently undefeated in the PanadaGlobal weeklies, and NRG|iSky’s, the first For Honor player to snag a sponsorship.

For an additional bonus, if you don’t mind spoilers, you can watch the winning team’s point of view and voice chat here.

2v2 is also the format For Honor will be played in at Final Round 20, next week in Atlanta.

The Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- Tenkaichi Budokai League Concludes with an Explosive Finish

Those in the United States–who stayed up to ungodly morning hours–have witnessed the end to the meteoric Tenkaichi Budokai League in Japan. We’ve dropped the hundred-ton news back in November about this Guilty Gear league, which had a qualifying tournament, as well as a voting popularity contest that determined the entrants–including, of course, top Guilty Gear players like Zadi, Haaken, Nage, Rion, Nakamura, Ogawa, FAB, and so on.

The final matches played out between the three finalists in a round-robin of FT10 sets. Zadi’s Raven first faced Haaken’s Sol Badguy. Check it out in the set below, and remember to switch the speakers on your computer to hear only one side of commentary. Hosted on Joniosan’s channel, MajinObama commentated every set in English.

First up is Raven vs Sol in a tight, close battle:

The second set played out between Zadi and Nage. Nage shows mastery of his character (as well as some good luck) in fighting Zadi.

And at last, the final set plays out between Nage and Haaken. Though it’s a bit more one-sided, it’s really good to see how Nage hammers this matchup. It’s a must-see, as this determined the champion of the league.

Turn That Pressure Around: 90 Moves You Should Be Punishing in Street Fighter V

An overview of when it’s safe to attack back–against the whole Street Fighter V cast.

In a game as aggressive as Street Fighter V, it’s vital to be able to recognize when your opponent has thrown a punishable move against your defense. It can be very tricky to recognize when it’s safe to push buttons, and when you’re about to fall right into another frame trap.

CrossUPDP has compiled this visual list of easy-to-punish moves, covering all of the SFV roster; while still keeping in mind that some of these moves become safe for the attacker at the right range, and noting the startup frames of your own punishing move of choice, this list can help you visually recognize when the time has come to safely push back against your opponent.
