This King of Fighters XIV Compilation Puts Vice Tech Into Action in Real Sets

We of course see tech videos and combo videos constantly, boasting about setups and impractical combos. It can be a bit intimidating for some players, learning these new combos and setups and figuring out how to apply them in real matches. With this in mind, check out the below compilations by content creator 8Sin-Am, where he shows off practical setups, along with uninterrupted gameplay to help understand how to get into position.

The latest compilation done is on Vice, though there are plenty more on his channel of various characters like Mature, Antanov, and more. Be sure to stop by his channel to get a look at these study cases of how to play these characters.

Watch desk Explore Interesting Urien Tech: Combos from Grabs and Fuzzy Guard Setups

Urien is perhaps the DLC character that players enjoy more than any other. Players have been finding things non-stop since his release–even discovering his alternate costume–and today we add another entry into his book of tech.

desk has been working to push the limits of what the Vice President is capable of; in this video, he showcases how to exploit Urien’s throw-combo bug–previously shown used to combo into his CA–with the use of Reflector or two. It’ll be interesting to see if this obvious bug is left in the game, as it is pretty darn cool.

Urien also has “fuzzy guard” setups using Aegis Reflector, allowing him to hit overhead and combo in ways normally impossible.

The Age-Old Rivalry Between Ryu and Chun-Li Continues in This First-to-Seven Set Between Daigo Umehara and Nuki

Both character loyalists across multiple games, Daigo Umehara’s Ryu and OR|Nuki’s Chun-Li have clashed once again, in this first-to-seven online set. As is the case with online sets between notable players, XusesGB has cataloged this battle which goes all the way to game 13, in traditional Nuki vs. Daigo fashion.

Xuses has previously uploaded a first to 10 between the two Street Fighter stalwarts back in May, which went to game 19 and their last offline set at EGX 2016 went to game 5, after Daigo quickly went up two games. It seems that whenever these two veterans clash, it is bound to be a nail-biter. As long as Chun-Li and Ryu are in Street Fighter, I think these two players will be destined to have close games with each other.

The UK Comes Together to Fight for Supremacy at Rival Scenes 2016 from November 5th-6th

Usually relegated to a side event at majors and nationals, team tournaments rarely get their own dedicated events. However, the UK seems to buck this trend, with Rival Scenes 2016 promising a weekend of teams action across multiple fighting games. Hosted by Sunday Face Off, this tournament will have teams from all around the country assembling to prove themselves and crush enemy regions. Expect groups like Birmingham’s Electronic Dojo and Manchester Battle Arena to be making an appearance, alongside several other teams from all parts of the British Isles.

The event will be held at DoubleTree, located next to the Hilton in Leeds City Centre and registration is now available over on the dedicated smash.gg page. The venue fee is £15, with it costing £5 to enter each tournament game. Saturday will see teams facing off in Killer Instinct 2v2s, Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- 3v3s and The King of Fighters XIV 3v3s, with Sunday being dedicated to purely Street Fighter with Street Fighter V 5v5s, 3rd Strike 3v3s and Super Street Fighter II Turbo 3v3s. There will also be a 2v2 mystery tournament running across both days and will be strictly first-come first-serve, so get there quick on the page if you wish to sign up.
