MMORPG.com user PottedPlant22 has brought in an image found in Final Fantasy XIV that seems to hint at the Blue Mage and its potential for its possible inclusion at a later date. The image contains an “Ancient Eastern Proverb” that mentions crimson embers, hinting at the Red Mage, and “azure lost amidst the squall” that may indicate a Blue Mage.
Final Fantasy XIV – Stormblood Expansion to be Released on June 20th
Final Fantasy XIV players will be pleased to know that the game’s next expansion, Stormblood, will be released on June 20, 2017. Pre-orders for Stormblood will start on January 24th with the Collector’s Edition featuring a Syldra mount, a Barts minion from Final Fantasy XV and the Chicken Knight for Red Mages. The announcements came during this weekend’s Fanfest currently ongoing in Japan.
Final Fantasy XIV – Jumping Potions in KR/CH to Make Catching Up Easier
A post made by Final Fantasy XIV Game Director Naoki Yoshida over the weekend was made to clarify to the community the background behind the new “Jumping Potions” that are now available in both the Korean and Chinese FFXIV markets. These potions are intended to “make it easier for the newer players to catch up with the rest of the community”. New players just coming into the game may not have enough time to invest in the game and potions are a way to facilitate their fun.
Final Fantasy XIV – Patch 3.5 Part 1 Coming In January 2017
Nova Crystallis has posted a nice summary of the most recent Live Letter from the producer for Final Fantasy XIV. During the event developers revealed that the first part of The Far Edge of Fate (v3.5) will be released in January 2017 and part 2 in March 2017.
Final Fantasy XIV – EU Fanfest Ticket Sales Info Released for Feb 2017 Event
Square Enix has revealed the ticket pricing information for the Final Fantasy XIV EU Fanfest scheduled for February 18-19, 2017 in Frankfurt, Germany. Active subscribers can take advantage of a pre-sale event on November 2nd. Active players are defined as those who were subscribing between September 1, 2016 and October 6, 2016 and beyond. A special email will be sent out to qualified players.

The Final Fantasy XIV site has been updated with the comprehensive v3.4 patch notes that include a brief look at new anima weapon story quests, new side story quests and the news that Season 3 of The Feast has officially kicked off. In addition, new floors have been added to the Palace of the Dead along with new challenges and rewards.

Final Fantasy XIV – All Saint’s Wake and Set to Run From Oct 19 to Nov 1
Final Fantasy XIV players will be able to enter the spooky realms of All Saint’s Wake beginning October 19th and will be able to participate in special events through November 1st. During All Saint’s Wake, players can take on special Adventurers’ Guild quests and earn special event items along the way including armor, minions and other items.
