Final Fantasy 14’s Shadowbringers story is coming to a close soon with Endwalker on the horizon, and today players can start to dive into the last story patch before the next expansion.
Final Fantasy XIV, and many games in today’s industry, would not be the same without the work of Beserk’s Kentaro Miura, who passed away this month at the age of 54. Naoki Yoshida, in a recent interview, talked about Miura and his influence, as well as praising player tributes which have popped up all over FFXIV since the news of Miura’s passing.
Trailers come in many forms, from cinematic to gameplay and even accolades trailers meant to promote how well a game is doing. But they serve a purpose: to drum up excitement about a game. Since last Friday, Bradford has been stuck with the FFXIV Endwalker trailer in his head, and he’s not sure that’s happened for a few years where a trailer left an impression.
It was a very busy weekend if you are a Final Fantasy XIV fan, with the Digital FanFest taking place on Friday and Saturday nights. While we now know the official launch date for Endwalker, there is a lot of time between now and November 23rd. Thankfully, Square Enix announced the dates players can dive into the continuing story of FFXIV: May 25th.
The new FFXIV melee class, announced at Fan Festival, lets players summon a voidsent persona/stand/avatar and slash into enemies with a scythe.

Tonight marks the beginning of this year’s digital Final Fantasy 14 FanFestival, seeing the Square Enix team bring players around the globe more information about their upcoming expansion, Endwalker, as well as art, music and contests throughout the weekend.
