Everyone has a fighting chance
GTA Online has been updated to bring a new Arena mode into the game. During Buzzer Beater, players literally race from checkpoint to checkpoint while trying to survive other drivers on the road. The goal is to collect as many checkpoints and to live to tell the tale. Those participating in the new Arena War mode will earn Double GTA$ & RP all week.
Rockstar has announced that after today’s Grand Theft Auto Online update, players will be able to participate in a new game feature called Arena War. The game mode is a completely new one that sends players off to the Maze Bank Arena and features a completely unique progression system where players can use Arena Points to rank up and unlock new customization options to rain terror on opponents.
Rockstar may have released Red Dead Online, but that doesn’t mean that the action has stopped in Grand Theft Auto Online. Throughout the balance of the week, GTAO players can take part in Motor Wars in order to earn a whopping Double GTA$ and RP through December 10th. “Team up alongside a squad of equally ill-equipped reprobates and scramble for munitions & weaponized vehicles scattered across the battlefield as you seek to eliminate the mouth breathers from the other teams”.
From now through December 3rd, Grand Theft Auto Online players can take part in any one of 39 Transform Races and earn double GTA$ and RP. Bikers can earn the same when launching any Clubhouse Contract. Smuggler’s Run Sell Missions earn players a 25% mark-up on all Special Cargo Deliveries.
Grand Theft Auto Online is appropriately decorated in celebration of Halloween and players can have fun participating in a number of spooky events that can yield double GTA$ and RP. Most notably, in a themed event, one player can become the shotgun-wielding Slasher who stalks seven other Hunted that are “protected” only by a flashlight….just for three minutes until they turn the tables once they have their own shotguns.
Grand Theft Auto Online players have a chance to earn some serious pocket change through this week’s in-game event. Those who run Gunrunning Sell missions will be able to earn double GTA$ and RP. In addition, those who own a Mobile Operations Center will earn double GTA$ and RP when launching any Weaponized Vehicle Mission. Lastly, Bunker Research will benefit from a 25% speed boost.
Grand Theft Auto Online has been updated to bring Sumo (Remix) Adversary Mode to players. The challenge is for players to head to a safe zone before time runs out…with a twist: The safe zone is literally a moving target that will move whenever the timer runs out. The action takes place on any one of seven newly retooled Sumo (Remix) arenas and the net result to a player’s wallet is Double GTA$ and RP through October 15th.
Grand Theft Auto Online players can revisit an old favorite game mode now that Running Back (Remix) is live in game. It provides a distinctly gridiron feel as players work to defend an undersized Panto as it makes its way to the goal line. Alternately, players can play on defense and try to take the little bugger down. The action takes place across seven new tracks and players will earn Double GTA$ and RP from now through October 1st.
Grand Theft Auto Online has undergone another beefy update, this time bringing the “reimagined” Trading Places Adversary Mode to the game. Players will team up with other Juggernauts to take on a team of Beasts. The twist is that Juggernauts will need to be wary as Beasts cloak and have Super Jump abilities. To survive, all stops will need to be pulled out. This week, the goal is to last the longest in order to win in the “Pass the Parcel” variation of the fun game mode.
Rockstar is giving Grand Theft Auto Online players another Red Dead Redemption 2 weapon to unlock when the game launches this fall on PlayStation 4 and XBox One. GTAO players will receive a text from Maude who will send players off to collect a number of “dead or alive” bounties. Once enough are complete, players will unlock the location of the Stone Hatchet. Once done, complete the Kills Challenge to earn GTA$250k and an unlock in Red Dead Redemption 2!
