Heroes of the Storm has been updated with its latest hero, Varian Wrynn. Varian is the first multiclass hero who can take on tanking and dual-wielding DPS fighting styles.

During last weekend’s Blizzcon 2016, the Heroes of the Storm team revealed the next two heroes set to enter the Nexus: Varian Wrynn and Ragnaros, both from World of Warcraft. In a new video today, Blizzard shows off both of the new heroes, their skills and several of the skins to which they will have access. In addition, Muradin, Malfurion, Lunara, and Nazeebo have new skins with special themed abilities to go with them plus a pair of new mounts.
Heroes of the Storm – Warcraft 3’s Samuro the Blademaster Headed to the Nexus
Warcraft 3’s Samuro the Blademaster is heading into Heroes of the Storm in the near future. Considered a front line fighter, Samuro is tailor-made for hunting down and slaying other Heroes due to his 25% passive movement speed. He can also create clones, can move in stealth and blenderize opponents with whirlwind.

Heroes of the Storm – Zarya Shines in the Spotlight in Latest Video
Overwatch powerhouse Zarya will be heading into the Nexus soon and Blizzard wants to shine the spotlight on her abilities and how she will affect the Heroes of the Storm game field. Devs will also be taking part in a special stream event on Wednesday, September 28th that will focus on Zarya gameplay. The event will take place at 11:00 am Pacific / 2:00 pm Eastern in the HotS Twitch channel.
Heroes of the Storm – Overwatch’s Zarya Now Live on PTR
The Heroes of the Storm PTR has been updated with the latest build that includes a new hero, Zarya from Overwatch as well as a new Starcraft-themed battleground called Warhead Junction. Chen and Nazeebo have been spiffed up both visually and in Talent overhauls. Other characters have had a bit of fine-tuning applied as well.
Heroes of the Storm – Machines of War Update Goes Live, Alarak Joins the Lineup
Heroes of the Storm has been updated with the Machines of War patch that brings a distinctively Starcraft feel into the game. In addition, a new hero, Alarak, has been added to the roster. Heroes of the Storm – Season 2 Ready To Go, New Rewards Detailed
The Heroes of the Storm site has been updated with the news that the competitive Season 2 will begin the week of September 12th and run through the week of December 12th. A number of Grand Master League changes have been implemented including reducing the number of Grand Master players allowed to participate in Hero League.
Heroes of the Storm – MVP & Commendations Coming Soon
Heroes of the Storm will soon be getting an Overwatch-style system of commendations and MVP notice at the end of every match. All HotS matches with the exception of Custom Matches will see players able to promote others (or themselves!) to MVP no matter which team won. In addition, other rewards will be handed out based on specific criteria.
Heroes of the Storm – EU Global Championship Slots Filled After Fierce Battles
Top EU teams have secured a position at the Heroes of the Storm Fall Global Championships to be held during this year’s Blizzcon in November. Team Dignitas took home $25,000 while Misfits and Fnatic duked it out for the second slot with Fnatic ultimately prevailing in a best-of-three fight to the finish.
