Big budgets and summer blockbusters are the popcorn and large coke of Hollywood and they cost millions. Every studio swings for the fences and expects massive numbers to hit with every summer film. Some do shockingly well, Guardians of the Galaxy, others do horrifically bad, the latest Fantastic Four. Now, before it has even been released to the public, the Warcraft film is dying quickly on the vine.
General: Absolver – All Action Combat Without Guns
Former Ubisoft Paris devs have created a new studio called Sloclap that is working on a new action online RPG called Absolver. What gives Absolver its unique slot in the online gaming space is that it is a game with tons of battle action against other players or working cooperatively through dungeon, and all accomplished without firing a single shot. Absolver has no firearms at all.
Orcs Must Die: Unchained: No More Bloated & Unwieldy Crafting
The Orcs Must Die! Unchained team has heard the community loud and clear. With the latest open beta update, crafting has been simplified to reduce “bloating and unwieldy” crafting systems. Materials have undergone the most drastic change with may being retired. Players holding retiring materials will see them upgraded to a material that will remain in the game.
General: Dystopian RPG InSomnia Completes KickStarter Initiative
Studio Mono has sent word that its ‘retro-futuristic’ RPG InSomnia has officially completed its KickStarter initiative. In addition, four stretch goals were also funded to give players even more to look forward to when the game launches.
Epocylipse the AfterFall: Quirky Jokester Ramos Lyle Latest Harbinger Profiled
The latest in a series of NPC profiles based on the Harbinger faction in Epocylipse: The AfterFall has been published on the game’s official site. This time quirky jokester Ramos Lyle gets the once over. As the band’s bass player, his style of humor goes well with the rhythms he creates.
Landmark: Ready to Hit the Ground Running on June 10th
Daybreak Game Company has announced the official launch date for Landmark as June 10th. Those playing the closed beta with any one of the founders’ packs will have automatic access to the game on launch. Those using a shared beta key have the option to upgrade. Founders’ Packs will continue to be sold through June 6th.
Darkfall: Unholy Wars: Temporary (Hopefully) Service Disruption Announced
Darkfall: Unholy Wars Executive Producer ‘Zad’ has posted a short notice on the official forums to let players know that the game servers will be shut down effective immediately. Aventurine is hopeful that this is only a temporary service disruption but only time will tell.

Black Desert Online: Valencia Update & Siege Mode Delayed
The Black Desert Online team has announced that the Valencia and Siege Mode updates to the game are going to be delayed. They have not given a timeline for release but indicated that a technical issue that cropped up during the adaptation of Siege Mode to the NA/EU build is the cause for the delay.
