General: Divinity Original Sin 2: Showing Off the Improved Combat System

This weekend I got to spend some time with the Divinity: Original Sin2 devs, and they were showing the new, and very much improved combat system that they have put together. One of the devs and I played a two-on-two skirmish, and I made the mistake of telling him not to take it easy on me, that I would learn more if he hit me full force. In retrospect, that was a huge error, as he trounced me quite handily.

General: Elder Scrolls Legends: Finding the Sweet Spot in the TCG Market

The surprise of PAX East was Elder Scrolls Legends. We heard about the card game from Bethesda at E3 however it has been quiet days since then. Out of nowhere the game appeared on the show floor and fans responded. In a nutshell, Legends is not just another online card game, it really captured us with the depth and changes to gameplay that the game is going to introduce to the market.

Overwatch: Adding Depth to the Game & Ready for Release

Just weeks before its release Overwatch had a huge presence at PAX East this year. We got the chance to play a few games which is always fun, but also we had time to sit with the development team and ask a few questions going into launch. Fans certainly lined up in droves as happens with most Blizzard games, but this year Overwatch has added depth to the game right before release. Something the fans had been asking about.

Shroud of the Avatar: Release 29 – The Great Divide?

Big changes and heated forum topics have made for an interesting month if you’re a fan of Shroud of the Avatar. Red Thomas took a trip to Austin and met with the devs to find out what all the commotion has been about, and to see if there are any surprises in the game’s 29th release.

Black Desert Online: Can Fishing Ever Be Fun?

I hate fishing in Black Desert Online. In fact, hate is a generous word: I absolutely loathe it. Every single MMO I’ve ever played always has a group of players desperately wanting fishing to be implemented and yet it has to be, without doubt, the most mind numbing profession ever devised. I’ve never once fished in an MMO and found it entertaining. In fact, I’m not even sure it’s possible to make it entertaining.

Overwatch: The Fall Of Titan, The Rise Of Overwatch

GameSpot has produced a trio of videos featuring interviews with several members of the Blizzard development team behind the cancelled project Titan. In these candid interviews developers acknowledge mistakes made on Titan and the pain of the failure. However, out of the ashes of Titan came Overwatch, set to be released in May. You can watch all three videos, about an hour’s worth of interviews, below. Let us know what you think in the comments!

Warframe: New Game Mode And Much More Planned For The Future
