This year, the Star Ocean series celebrates its twentieth anniversary with the release of its fifth game, Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness. This week, publisher Square Enix invited members of the press to preview the game’s less cutscene-heavy approach to storytelling and combat, an approach that thus far, appears to be working.

The Heroes of the Storm page has been updated with a look at the new legendary skin for Azmodan. Called ‘Azmodunk’, the skin features themed abilities, a themed mount and a special themed voice over pack.

The Das Tal team has more money to assist in the development of the game thanks to increased investment by a German game investment fund and ‘angels’ who recently doubled pledged funds. Now totaling over 300,000 Euro, Fairytale Distillery can begin more focused development in player engagement though veteran stages and the tutorial system.
Age of Conan: Unchained: Pit Master’s Arena Mode Arrives – A Whole New PvP
Age of Conan has been updated with the Pit Master’s Arena that allows for ‘traditional’ player versus player action but also features player pets versus game pets / creatures. Players can use pets they’ve created to fight creatures from all over Hyboria to earn other pets, necklaces, faction mounts and more.
Crowfall: Castle Siege Pre-Alpha Event Begins
Qualified participants are now able to log into Crowfall’s latest pre-alpha event that introduces the Castle Siege system and offers several archetypes for play: Confessor, Legionnaire, Ranger, Knight and Champion.

Diablo 3 World Designer Leonard Boyarsky has left Blizzard and joined Obsidian Entertainment. Prior to his tenure with Blizzard, Boyarsky worked on the Fallout series at Interplay, then moved on to co-found Troika where he was the game director on Vampire: The Masquerade.
