Subscriptions Plummet to 5.6 Million

World of Warcraft subscriptions have plummeted to 5.6 million in Quarter 2 subscribers, down from 7.1 in Quarter 1. This reflects a loss of nearly half the subscribers from the launch of Warlords of Draenor in November 2016 when numbers soared over the 10 million mark.

Cryptic Studios has announced that the Elemental Evil expansion to Neverwinter will be headed to XBox One in September. Console players will gain access to Elemental Evil, Fury of the Feywild, Shadowmantle and Curse of Icewind Dale at the same time, bringing the XBox One version of Neverwinter nearly current with PC.

The Skyforge site has been updated with a new preview post for the Crucible of the Gods update that is scheduled to go live later this month. of particular note is the topic of "prestige scaling" that will allow players to work together to earn prestige. Groups will scale down to the lowest prestige group member and awards all players appropriate rewards for prestige.
