Daybreak Game Company has announced that the Rum Cellar Campaign for EverQuest II is now available for purchase. The new content features two brand new solo zones, three heroic zones, tons of fantastic new loot, new achievements and collections and much more. In addition to the Rum Cellar Campaign, today’s update brought a host of other fixes and balances to EQII.
Character models are possibly the most important aspect of a graphical MMO. After all, the avatars that we create and play through are us in many ways, so they need to look and feel like extensions of us, into the game world. For some players, that means the avatar should look heroic, or beautiful, or needs to offer a ton of customization. Several months after transforming from Sony Online Entertainment into indie studio Daybreak Game Company, the official site and logo have made their debuts. In addition, each game will be hosting a special live stream event this week, complete with giveaways, activities and more.

Guild Wars 2 players looking for a way into the next Heart of Thorns expansion beta event can literally find a way in by adventuring through the Maguuma Wastes in the game. While battling monsters in Dry Top and the Silverwastes, special portals can be dropped giving access to Maguuma Wastes. Sprinkled throughout the Wastes are special trophies that, if found, will grant access to the forthcoming beta event (not yet dated).
The Firefall team has a new Design Director with the addition of former ArenaNet and Guild Wars developer Chris Whiteside. The notice was given on Whiteside’s personal Facebook page with his blessing to post the big news. Expect more from Red5 about Chris’s appointment and our own exclusive interview in the coming days.
The latest Star Wars: The Old Republic update will be arriving on Tuesday, April 28th. Called "Rise of the Emperor", the update brings a new planet and storyline into the game. Players will need to have purchased the Shadow of Revan expansion and a character at level 60 to be able to access the new content.
The Guild Wars 2 Facebook page has been updated with a beautiful new image of a Mesmer using a shield. Just further confirmation that the Profession will be getting the Shield as its new weapon in Heart of Thorns.
