A little over a year ago I sat down to review Destiny. While I enjoyed the game I ended up giving it a 7.0. This was lower than what most publications rated Destiny at and I’m okay with that. I wasn’t trying to be a stickler, or "that guy" that "stuck it to the man" on a high profile game.
General: A Skeptic’s Return to Destiny
The original Destiny was a letdown. Our author played it through and, like so many others, left just after finishing the campaign, equally disappointed and aggravated at the game that should have been. With all the buzz surrounding The Taken King, he’s returned to see if it lives up to the hype. Is one expansion enough to overcome a year’s worth of mistakes?
General: Do You PvP?
A couple of weeks ago, we looked at some different types of endgame, including PvP as one of the principal activities available in an MMORPG once you hit the level cap. Of course, many modern MMOs offer some kind of player-versus-player interaction throughout the leveling process, even going as far as to incentivize low- and mid-level arenas through XP gain and gear rewards. PvP is one of my favorite diversions in an online game, both while leveling and as part of the endgame.

General: OpenCritic Seeks to ‘Shake Up’ Game Review Aggregation
A new review aggregation site has launched today called OpenCritic. The stated goal of the team behind the site is that it seeks to "shake up game review aggregation" in a number of ways, most notably through transparency. Users can create a list of "trusted review" sites and receive personalized aggregate review scores based on those sites alone.
General: Divinity: Original Sin 2 Smashes Goal as Campaign Ends
Larian Studios has wrapped up the KickStarter initiative for Divinity: Original Sin 2 with nearly 50,000 backers funding the project for $2.03M USD. Because of the overwhelming success, several stretch goals were unlocked including Chris Avellone joining as a staff writer, Strategist Mode, Undead as a playable race, The Hall of Echoes playable area, and Love/Hate Relationships.
