Several well-known names in the gaming industry have banded together to bring forth Fig, a video game only funding platform. former Double Fine COO Justin Bailey, with broad members Brian Fargo (CEO inXile), Feargus Urquhart (CEO Obsidian) and Tim Schafer (CEO Double Fine) gives backers and those seeking funding traditional opportunities (rewards etc.) like KickStarter, but also the chance for investment.

Whalebox Studios has announced that a KickStarter initiative for Goliath, its "open world ARPG robot-crafting game". Goliath is looking to raise $50,000 to add new features to the core game that has been shown to the world prior to this point.
