At E3 last month, we got to catch up with Wargaming.net about three of their games. The developer’s flagship title, World of Tanks, will be releasing on Xbox One on July 28, and there’s also good news for fans of World of Warships and Master of Orion.

General: Batman: Arkham Knight is Closer to an RPG Than You Think
Batman: Arkham Knight isn’t an RPG but it’s closer than you might think. This week, Chris looks at each of those ways and how the latest entry in the Batman series succeeds where so many RPGs fail. That and the week’s news, including a Witcher 3 inventory improvement, Dragon Age: Inquisition abandoning older consoles, No Man’s Sky gameplay, Darkest Dungeon updates, and more!

General: E3 2015 – Hands On and Preview of Bedlam
Once in a good long while, a game shows up with such a crazy amalgam of genres that your interest might be piqued before hearing anything else about it. Thematically, it looks a lot like Gamma World, and its gameplay is comprised of a mix between Oregon Trail and chess.

General: Could The Chronicles of the Spellborn Return?
I was a huge fan of The Chronicles of Spellborn, an ill-fated (and ahead-of-its-time) MMORPG that semi-tragically disappeared a few years ago. I enjoyed its unique setting, art style and combat mechanics, but I also knew that it was never to be smooth sailing for the game. After all, it featured not only a grind and a challenge but could be hard to run on anything less than gaming machines (at the time) and characters had to hoof it from place to place.
General: Power Rankings: MOBAs
It all began with a mod. While some observers trace the history of the mobile online battle arena category back as far as the 1989 Sega console game Herzog Zwei, it’s more common to cite Aeon of Strife. A fan-made StarCraft custom map released nine years later, it was four on four, but with a player squad vs. an AI one and without leveling up. It was also the inspiration for the 2003 Warcraft III mod, Defense of the Ancients, which featured two human teams and in-match hero advancement.
