NGames has announced that retro 8-bit RPG Pixel Hero has entered its Closed Beta phase of development. The game features 25 animated characters to choose from fighting in a pixelated fantasy world.

Danish toy company LEGO recently announced that it will be releasing LEGO Worlds, an answer to the massively-popular Minecraft. Lego already sells Minecraft toy sets, so what was the thought process behind this decision? I am not so sure, and some people have cried "a little too little, too late" but I wonder about that assessment.
General: IDEA – Mobile RPG Announced by Netmarble
Netmarble has announced that it is bringing a new RPG to mobile devices around the world. Called IDEA (for the time being), the game will bring large scale battles via GvG warfare, with players taking on Berserker, Assassin or Mage roles and high levels of character customization.

Zenimax emailed me this week. The email was a reminder that I’d paid my $20 to unlock the PS4 version of Elder Scrolls Online and that the game would be launching next Tuesday. I had the tingle, my friends; the little flurry of excitement just before a game you’re looking forward to. Then I remembered just how divided the game’s community was at launch. It makes me wonder, will ESO be a hit or will it just disappoint Elder Scrolls fans who don’t know what they’re in for?

Valve has announced that the Alienware and CyberPower Steam Machines will be in pre-order customers’ hands in October and on store shelves in November. Steam Machines are similar to consoles but can play all Steam PC titles as well.

Walt Disney Company and Kabam have announced that a new RPG based in the Star Wars universe will be headed to mobile devices soon. Star Wars: Uprising bridges the gap between Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and Star Wars: The Force Awakens and takes place in the Anoat Sector.
