MMO giant Nexon and Epic Games have signed a long term deal that licenses the Unreal 4 engine for both PC and mobile games development.

I’m not quite sure how much money I spent on Magic Online when it initially began to gain some popularity, but I can tell you that even trying to estimate that number results in no small amount of embarrassment for me. I love TCGs, and have spent a good amount of time (and cash) dabbling in a range of games, from open-ended classics like Magic: The Gathering to more discrete releases such as The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game.

When browsing through the list of games on display at the Indie Megabooth at this year’s PAX East, Witching Hour Studios’ Masquerada: Songs and Shadows immediately jumped out to me. The trailer for the 2.5D isometric RPG offered a glimpse at the game’s striking, French comic book inspired art style and "pause for tactics" combat system, which should be immediately familiar to anyone who has played BioWare CRPGs such as Baldur’s Gate or the various Dragon Age titles.

Earlier this week European game developer Team21 launched a Kickstarter looking to fund their project Dungeon of Aledorn. Doing more than just coming to the table asking for money, Team21 has already produced a tech demo that shows off combat and can be downloaded by anyone on their Kickstarter page. Ever since we launched this blog, we’ve been covering a ton on the ins and outs of YouTubing as an MMO gamer. In the past few weeks we’ve been touching on different kinds of gameplay videos, and looking at the kinds of MMO uploads you all love to entertain yourselves with. Well at TGN we don’t like to play favourites when it comes to gaming content, because we pretty much love every kind of gamer vid out there.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD released today and with it the preview to the highly anticipated Final Fantasy XV. I have yet to play XV and I have avoided most of the videos surrounding it so I will play it tonight with a fresh perspective. But has it gone too far from what Final Fantasy once was?
