General: THQ Resurrects Itself as THQ Nordic

Nordic Games has sent out a press release to announced its reincorporation as THQ Nordic. The reincorporation comes after 2014’s buy out of the THQ trademark by Nordic Games where it has been held as an “in name only” part of the company. THQ Nordic has plans to align IPs gained in the acquisition with “the very best development resources to expand upon them”.

Netmarble Korea’s Lineage 2: Revolution website has been updated with a ton of new information including a name reservation form and pre-registration for the likely launch of the mobile title later this year in Korea. L2: Revolution brings a full MMO experience to mobile devices complete with four playable races and three classes.

General: Indie Game Devs Invited to Submit Games at AGC

During this year’s Austin Game Conference, indie developers of PC games or PC VR games are being invited to submit their title for consideration at the Intel Game Developer Showcase at a nearby venue. Ten finalists will be selected and given five minutes to present their game to the special judges panel and the attendees in the audience. Afterward, attendees will be able to demo the games on the show floor.

General: Weapons of Mythology: New Age Headed to the EU This Year

Weapons of Mythology: New Age will be heading to Europe in Quarter 4 2016 according to PlayStationLifestyle.net. Mythology features both PvE and PvP game play with dungeons, mounts, pets, “impressive foes” and more. The game will be localized in several languages and will be availabley on PC, PlayStation 4 and XBox One.

General: Cagey Mike Donatelli Teasing New Project Called RiME

Mike Donatelli, late of Carbine Studios, has posted a sneaky teaser on one of his social media channels about a new project called RiME. There is no other information available other than the fact that more will become known in 2017. Greybox, Tequila Works and SixFoot are listed on the page as being involved with RiME.
