I will begin this article by saying that I am not here to give a full blown review of Warcraft: The Beginning. What I am here to do is try to synthesize why Warcraft and World of Warcraft players might adore…and dislike…the movie based on a series of games that millions have loved over the past two plus decades.

Former Sony Online Entertainment veterans Mat Broome and Kevin McPherson have formed a new company called Hero Machine Studios that is ready to reveal first information about KINETIK, a near future tactical RPG shooter. The game can be played in either first- or third-person and will feature both co-op and competitive multiplayer.

Video Games are a wonderful form of media which can do more than just entertain; they can open whole new worlds and possibly up which we might not have ever found. Square Enix has announced a new game in the Final Fantasy series, though this one designed to appeal to younger players. Called World of Final Fantasy, the art style of the game turns characters into chibis and will launch on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on October 25th in North America, Japan on October 27th and in the EU on October 28th.

Streaming isn’t for everyone. Some people love to watch, some love to actually be the streamer, and others couldn’t care less about the idea of people watching other people game. But for those who do actually cast, there’s a lot of logistics behind being a good participatory streamer. Fans of Horizon: Zero Dawn will be interested to hear that the game has been pushed back to February 28, 2017. Blizzard game players will soon be able to use their Facebook accounts to log into any of the studio’s stable of games and will be able to take advantage of the social media platform’s new live streaming ability, Live API, to show off epic battles on the fly. Facebook log in and streaming will be added via the Battle.Net launcher sometime in July.

My.com has announced that it will be handling the Westernized version of Revelation Online. While no specific date has been announced for release, the game is generally revealed to be opening in late 2016. Interested parties can head to the My.com site to sign up for beta testing when it’s ready to kick off in the coming months.

Square Enix has announced that a remastered version of Final Fantasy XII is being prepared for a 2017 release on PlayStation 4. Set to be titled Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age, the title is an updated version of the original 2006 release on PlayStation 2. At this time there is no word on whether or not other platforms will be included in the release.
