Focus Home Interactive has released some new information about one of the locations found in Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom, its ARPG heading for release later in 2016. The Meonis Plains features a war-torn location filled with embattled towns and villages packed with quests and adventures, puzzles and dungeons.

Grimm: Dark Legacy, an upcoming game based on the television series Grimm, is ready for closed beta testing and is inviting interested players to head to the official site to register for participation. The game takes place several hundred years prior to the events of the show and explores the back story of the Grimms and their enemies and features challenging solo- or team-based game play.

Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book got a bit less mysterious today with several key characters revealed through the game site. In addition, the synthesis system video showcases how players can create and craft different components to help out through the journey.

Interdimensional Games has announced that its sci-fi simulation game Consortium: The Tower has become the fourth fully funded title on Fig. Between investors and crowd-sourced backers, iDGi raised $345,000 and will be preparing the game for a 2018 release.

French indie company Insane Unity has announced that it is developing a new MMORTS called Win That War! The unique title features solo, single-player, and MMO game components all taking place in a procedurally generated retro sci-fi universe.

I never played the single player Elder Scrolls games (I know its blasphemy). So I’m not incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the Dark Brotherhood. I knew what they were, a guild of assassins, killing those who were marked for death. After going through this new DLC for The Elder Scrolls: Tamriel Unlimited I have a much deeper understanding for what they do and what they are. They’re called Dark Brotherhood for a reason, this DLC is fantastically dark.

Paypal has announced that users participating in crowd funding initiatives will no longer qualify for payment protection. Included crowd-funding services falling under the new rules are Indigogo and KickStarter. Paypal indicated that these initiatives embody too many “risks and uncertainties”.

Priced at $49.99, the Essentials Edition will be available to anyone until May 11th, subsequently available only to new players during their first week of game play.

Starmourn, a new MUD in development for release in 2017, has been updated with a new lore article to reveal the backstory for the human race. It features a character named Captain Maddox and a military group called Omega Company.
