John said he always wanted a game like this and now fans of old school RPGs and MMOs, with a wish for something new, are in for a treat.
General: Smedley & Patrick Rothfuss Team Up for New ARPG
John Smedley is ready to reveal what he’s been up to for the past several months after leaving Daybreak Game Company last summer. He has formed a new studio called Pixelmage Games that is already hard at work on Hero’s Song, a 2D pixel art action RPG. Pixelmage is hoping to raise $800,000 to complete development on Hero’s Song and grow the team from the thirteen that currently are working on the game.
