Neverwinter will be expanding on August 11th with Strongholds, the seventh module since being released two years ago. To celebrate the impending release, Cryptic Studios has released a brand new trailer. Finally, players will have a place to call home.
Neverwinter: Strongholds Module to Launch August 11th
Cryptic Studios has announced that the forthcoming Strongholds module for Neverwinter will launch on August 11th. Strongholds is the largest playable map in the game and in its first iteration, the focus will be on PvE. Later, guilds will be able to wrest control of locations within the zone to build fortresses and will be able to engage in GvG warfare starting in September.

A new developer diary has appeared on the Neverwinter site that gives the design philosophy and background for the creation of the Strongholds map that will be added to the game in the near future. The map is said to be the largest one that Cryptic has ever created to give players a true feeling of exploration and the necessity of protecting the guild property.
